Same question as Mayank Goyal: When I try to connect Translations Builder to my DirectQuery datasource/cube, I get an "unhandled expection". Is this tool not compatible with that?
Translations Builder supports connecting to datasets running locally in Power BI Desktop. It does not support connecting to datasets in the Power BI Service or databases in Analysis Services. You would need to extend Translations Builder as a developer to connect to these types of remote datasources.
Hello Ted, we are using localized report in e PBI embedded solution here reports are connected to a on-prem SSAS 2017 data nodel. Despite the data model is fully localized, it looks lite culture is not properly propagated through gateway so data model does not receive the culcure of the user who is viewing the report. Is there any plan for this kind of scenario ? Thanks Alberto MPS Monitor
Architecture Point of view, data structure is not feasible. We can store data row wise instead of column wise and maintain meta data in separate table and it's achievable using Parameter. there is no need to create bookmark, it can pick your language automatically. it is possible and I already have achieved that.
