DAN LITTLE - is the man when it comes to turbos, my golf 1.8T is still running a solid 300bhp beach buggy k280 hybrid turbo from 2016 and has never missed a beat. Nice to have an insight into his new company, I urge anyone looking to upgrade their turbo to support Dan his a really good honest guy that knows his stuff.

Super cool to see the LittCo setup and see Dan in his shop. Definitely have my eyes on an L380X or L430. If I had a Golf R, I would definitely be looking at the L450 or L500 for my GTI. Thanks for the great video!

My 450 is going in Monday, was going for the 500 but Dan persuaded me to go 450 for quicker spool and better city driving. Curious to have your feedback on the more laggy L500.

DrStrange1000 on a gti, R or ? 500 lbs will destroy it, unless on a built motor. 390-420 lbs/tq is usually our safest bet.

Steve. They go straight on the VsR balancing machine and purged with warm oil before we run them up . Once finished we leave the full of oil and cap off. There's not much need for assembly lube as they aren't run without oil but I see your point.

500 hp is max for a stock engine and still dont expect the car will run 120k miles without problems.

@@BalkanBoyBiH all stage 3 mk7 golf R are over 500bhp 525bhp Calvin's us meant to be 600bhp original Arthur's old car which blew up and other golf mk7 R that blew at 600bhp was Dave's white one which now has 2.5 Rs3 engine

Peter. From what I've seen the Revo is very good for around 480-500bhp depending on the boost. We've had 500bhp and under 2bar and 510bhp at 2.1bar . At 2bar these are making around 475ftlbs of torque and it's the torque which will bend a rod and kill the engine. We say 2bar/500bhp/460ftlbs for engine reliability.

Well it's not HP but torque that pops motors, these engines are good for about 420 wheel torque which at 7,500 RPM is 600 WHP, I think you will be safe at 500 wheel so long as you have a good conservative tune that keeps the torque under that magic 420.

Bit confused by this. There are lots of people. I know one in particular, who ran 550bhp and 550lbs ft on stock internals no issues! (Guy kitch on MK7 owners club forum)

It's about how long will they run. They are 23mm on wrist pin and 21.9mm narrow, same as 2.0 tsi ea888. They will not be able to support that power for a long time. You need to see a comparation between an aftermarket performance rod and a stock one to See how thin its the stock one. More power means more air and more fuel being compressed, the more you have the harder it's to compress and rods bend.
