Greetings from the BIG SKY. I built my wood shop from the 1920's car garage it was into a 21st century furniture making place in maybe 5 years. It took me some time in spots, I had to learn about electricity too.

Hang base cabinets on the wall with a countertop (butcherblock) for work space. Leave the floor area under them open for storage and easy to clean the shop. Slat wall above that for as high as you can reach. Short cabints above that for whatever you dont need as often. Steel shelving units for the rest of your storage

The shop is coming together nicely. The shot gun looks sick! Paint scheme was on point. As far as the shop… brotha theres so many directions you could go. One off the top of my head is a glass cabinet display of the swimbaits and other notable items with LED lights. The new swimbaits look amazing and to be honest you have several to test so if you need honest help testing and critiquing the swimbaits Im the man. 😂 JK well seriously I could be though. Looking forward to the progress updates on the shop.

Shop is going to be nice I like the pre formed walls. I would definitely have some air hose reels and power cord hose reels at the ceiling, keeps from having extension cords on the ground . And a big ass fan to move that Heat out of the shop

I need that 7” loaded swimmer! I’ve yet to get my hands on any of the baits in stores and I’m dying to try it. I’m just tired of the lack of swimming from the draft and everything I’ve seen so far, the daingerous swims so good and can actually cover some water. That loaded 7 is gonna hammer them

I suggest A/C in the shop or build out a tackle room with workbenches and a window unit at least. Super bright light LED ( divide up in several circuits so you don’t have 1 switch controlling all the lights, wastes too much electricity if you don’t need it), A good light colored epoxy non skid chemical resistant floor helps reflect the light. My thought were to make my shop like an operating room.

I like the separating the lights on multiple switches. Still deciding on what seal/wash for the floors. Looking at putting in the “Big Ass” brand big shop fan and one of their cooling units

@Zaldaingerous what a awesome video. I’ve got a couple questions though. What keeps the concrete from sticking to the floor when they’re pouring it into the wall frames? Also what kind of roof system are you going with after the walls are stood up? Is that concrete too somehow? I live in SC right beside Beautiful Lake Murray and it gets crazy hot here to as well. So while I’m planning on building my boat shop here soon you have caught my attention with your concrete shop. Keeping it cool in the summer is a huge deal for me. Btw great job on the last tournament of the year if you could have gotten to your spot on day one I think things would have been a lot different! Great Job Chris!

They sprayed a breaking barrier down the day before the concrete was poured that kept it from sticking to the other concrete. We aren’t going with a concrete roof, though my wife wanted that. We are going to do PBR Metal from Mueller for it
