As far as I know, they made 3078 Lexus IS300 Sportcross worldwide. In Germany, we have less than 100 Lexus IS300 Sportcross. I've got a blue slicktop Sportcross. I would love to have a 4WD Gita... They are rear as ... .

@@TailoredChassisSolutions no there was a different yellow one in PA that had barely 100k miles with clean body for around 12k, idk if it’s still available he took the listing down. It was listed like a month ago it looked real clean the guy said it was sitting for 10 years or something

Hell yes! Love seeing more content around these cars. The Sportcross was a dream car of mine and bought mine in 2020 and it’s manual swapped (W55) and had black cloth interior. Looking forward to seeing the build process on this thing! 🤙🏻 PS they made 3076 of these cars from 01-05.
3076, thats the number! I couldnt remember exactly but I was within 25 😅. Cloth interior in the US? I didnt think that was a thing! Is your car a slicktop?
@@TailoredChassisSolutions Haha yeah you were super close! It’s not a slick top because the car was special order from the original owner. It was ordered with a sunroof and navigation and black cloth interior with the typical SX foldable passenger seat. I didn’t even realize it was Uber rare until I posted in a IS group on Facebook and someone offered to buy the interior if I ever wanted to sell it. 😂

Your IS300 story up to this point sounds a lot like my current IS300 build. Painfully so. Every day is an opportunity to click the order button on a built R154 for my car. Your plans/acquisitions are functionally identical to mine. I'd advise investigating the BTI CAN dash retrofit for the factory navigation hole and retaining the RS200 digital dash. It's a rare opportunity to utilize a factory part in a unique and functional way. Other than that, top notch selections as always. Looking forward to the updates. Keep up the excellent work.
One day at a time! We've done a number of bti gauges in mk4s and although they work well I like having all of my data front and center. There are also protocol limitations with bti when trying to display every available channel on the bus like tpms etc. The ic7 just checks all the boxes for me and isnt terribly disruptive to the overall vibe of the car. Nice, cant wait to see where this goes.. dont feel bad mine sat for almost 10yrs as i dealt with bad relationships and life. I spent 22gs on mine in 2008 for a sub 50,000 miile 100% stock 02' 5spd. (Im at 80,000 now)... Its a rods and pistons engine on a ms3pro now that ive been nice weather daily driving, still has the 5spd w55. They can handle 450-500 quite a few times until you have to replace the input shaft. Honestly i was surprised that it didn't break at 350 like "everyone" says they would. Im going to (free trans)4l80 swap it in the next few weeks once i finish making my adapter plate, then i wont have to keep rebuilding the trans every few months.... Keep up on the posts with this, id like to see your spin on the is300. You do good work, i like when people know how to do things right. From one tech to another, keep up the good work🤙
Thanks for the support! It was a weird situation and I wasnt in a place to be extending myself and it hit extra hard so I iced the car. Hoping I can make decent progress now and keep it interesting for everyone. W55 really isnt as bad as everyone makes them out to be from what ive experienced but people have a tendency to go super racey with solid mounts and solid disc clutches and that seems to be where the low power destruction propagates from. 4l80 will certainly solve that! I love the color when its pristine but it sadly doesnt fare well in the sun. I am likely going to go with a slightly more red hue like a pheonix or millenium yellow but the visuals are still there! 205 is on my bucket list too!
@@TailoredChassisSolutions Yeah definitely the way to go, I'm probably going the same direction when I get around to redoing the paint work. You should 100% get an st205, underated cars and I would love more youtube content.
The crz was my k20z1 daily but has recently been sold to a customer to convert into an endurance racecar. Ill do an overview quickly as part of a future shop update 🤝
Beams is a very cool motor, we actually have an interesting drysump 5sfe bottom beams at the shop waiting patiently to go in something but the street friendly torque of the 2j and this vehicle weight is a good match!
