I am 60 years young and this brings out the wonderful 6 year old in me. Fond memories of my Christmas present as a kid. That classic basic figure 8 type track and it took over the living room floor for as long as i got away with it!
Greetings from Reno, Nevada USA. THANK YOU so much for your excellent video. Still deciding between Scalextric and Carrera. Please keep the videos coming. God Bless you and THE GREAT PEOPLE AND ÇOUNTRY OF GREAT BRITIAN.
Go carrera, my mates spewing he didn’t now that he has power issues. If you go digital you can still buy scalextric cars and run a carrera chip in them from what I’m told
I love it! Every year, for the Christmas holiday season, I build a track which my family races on. My kids are all grown up but we still enjoy getting the Scaley out. Your video has been an excellent impetus to get me going. Thank you!
I love the channel. You have such enthusiasm. I'm trying to plan a track. Scalextric has some great sets. You have really inspired me. I too have limited space. Wonderful channel.
Currently building something similar so glad came across this for some tips. Not keen on Scalextric track (cars are great), too flimsy, I like Ninco track as a compromise between Carrera and Scalextric, it much stiffer, width is between The two, and there are joining pieces to connect Scalextric and Ninco if you have both. Like the use of grass line carpet material to simulate grass I’ll have to find some
Fair point there. But I was basing mine on the Top gear test track. That said, if it didn't have to be portable it would definately have a bridge! Thanks for watching.
I used VELCRO , a small piece at each end of a track piece is Amal to hold track to board without moving when tilting the track upright. Super easy to remove track pieces if needed.
@@johnny-S thanks I will let you know how I get on. I built a bit of your track and worked out I need 1.1 x 1.7 at least problem is that’s an awkward size board. Thanks for replying
Wow how exciting, love scalextrics! We have a huge layout in our conservatory. Just one question, why not just run the arc pro base? It will do all you want for timing plus pit stops, fuel, tire wear and wireless controllers too. It really was a game changer when we changed to it.:)
Currently the Arc One seems to do all I want it to at this point. But I'll definately will look at expansion. Loads more to come soon. Thanks for watching.
GDay mate great video always like looking at new track set up hey if you want to save time connect BOTH analog and Digital power bases in ( then power up the one your going to be racing with I’m 2;years into mine just search #popasmurfraceway
Don't do it it won't work I already tried almost the same setup The track is too frail The plastic pieces that hold the track together are going to constantly be snapping off and you're going to ruin the track
"I think publicly shaming cars for having regular sexual appetites is rude." (turns up screen brightness setting...) "Oh, SLOT cars... Well that's different, then, innit?"
Well not sure why we didnt see cars going around but of course slot car track is a much deeper thing than toy car racing. Great stupud video. Keep it up. Dull.
