Nice video footage and background music. It would be interesting to see the head pulled and what the valves are like is there anyway to do a leak down test beforehand to save you the work? Keep going it’s a great project 👍

I love the 3.6 liter 24 valve VR6 engine it's one of my favorite engines especially swapped into the Corrado! You should definitely do a compression test to see if the Compression is good on the engine that way you will know if the engine is still good or not. Too bad the guides fell apart from the timing chains that makes me think there's a strong possibility that the valves could have bent. I hope you can save that motor ✝️🙏

Pull the head and have the head rebuilt, or dont and have those filthy intakes from the FSI system, cheap simple and you will have much better breathing motor. Mine came from a passat and the build up from the FSI system was awful i had the head rebuilt and installed supertec spring kit.

I put a similar year motor in my Corrado, early 3.6 with a single piece intake mani. Def take that head off and give everything a good once over, replace all the timing parts. That way when it goes in the car it won't have to come out for a LONG time! Also, maybe this is just from peeps who rev out their 3.6's hard, an ARP bolt kit for the crank isn't a bad idea

Have you started reassembly yet? Curious if you’re running ARP or factory hardware

Those connectors if you push them down onto whatever its connected too then using the screwdriver or put some glove on and push it in.... they come right off.
