building on The Sims 4's hidden secret lots 

As a person from Colorado, the thing that makes me sad about outdoor retreat is that it is a vacation only world. This world looks most like where I live and I wish I could have my sims live in this world!

Imagine going on a walk in the woods only to come back and someone renovated your whole house

yes, seeing a sixam planet build would be delightful. Also I'd forgotten about this lot when I saw the icon and tried to figure out how you got normal daylight images of either of the base game hidden lots

i really appreciate the way you don’t make people feel stupid for not knowing these things. i know a lot about the sims but my gf does not so it’s nice showing her ur videos :)

Every time you called the back the "front" I was giggling. "The front just has no dimension" "that's because it's the back kayla... though tbf the actual front is not giving much dimension either". Cackled when the gallery showed you the real "front" and cackled even harder when you zoomed out and revealed there's an actual path out the real front

So I think its really cool, that you restrict what packs you're using! But maybe it could be an idea to use the statistics James got from his survey, about how many people own certain packs, to sometimes say that you use three or four packs but specifically choose ones that many people own? Just as an idea to be able to use some more different objects :)

I was *wondering* where those planters came from! Outdoor retreat is one of my first packs and I love it. I am going to have to craft more of those. I just think they're neat.

Yes, do the secret world from Get to Work!!! Make it like it was from Lunar Lakes or something mid-century modern, or make it look like it came from the Jetson's cartoon--boy, I am really dating myself on that one. What about the cave in the Dessert Bloom Park? is there a lot there? That would really be a challenge to build there.

That isn’t a basket with storage for cutlery, it’s a real deal picnic basket. You take it with you when you go on a picnic, it has all the dishes and cutlery and cups you need, and the larger basket is for the food you’re eating! Nicer ones can have a small cooler in them to keep food and wine cold!

I actually love the secret worlds. It feels like a reward for gameplay and exploration. If anything, I'd like more of them.

I recently had my sims get married in Sylvan Glade! Granted, you can't host an actual wedding, but I built a cute venue and sort of dragged some random sims along as "guests." The photos turned out so pretty too ♡

Did you guys ever notice how she always put the gardening box in the same way in every building ? its always 2 box with half tile off from each, always LOL

I honestly use outdoor retreat so much. My sims go on camping trips all the time 😂 I do not like the outdoors irl so I live it up in the sims

I think Outdoor Retreat, Horseranch and Cottage Living, Build/Buy-wise all play well together (and Werewolves, too). As you were talking about the tub that’s crafted…honestly, Eco Lifestyle blends with those too!

kayla you should get your hands on a cc shelf made to slot most things so you can alt place bigger things on surfaces

I like it. Looks much better. However I think a useful change would be to put the planters under cower since the outdoor retreat aspirations did not account for weather so it takes ages to complete since some of the plants will be out of season whenever you take your sim on vacation.

What about the secret lot on Moonwood Mill? The one on top of the big hill where they get the flower to cure them of being a werewolf? And do you remember building on the lot in Sylvan Glade? Maybe you can build another one? I just thought of something, if they gave us log cabin in the woods wallpaper, why didn't they give us log cabin in the woods roof pattern? That would be so cool, with making roofs, outhouses, fireplaces, and sheds--or even a horse paddock. I know corrugated metal roofs would work, but people didn't use to have it. Would it be so hard to make a few items so that we can make old houses? This is giving me inspiration!! Thank you, Lilsimsie.

BEWARE THE TELESCOPE! My sim was looking through it, and as i was leaving the lot with my other sim, he got hit by an asteroid😢. I didn't even know the telescope could kill a sim!
