You are going to regret those rigid mounted seats.. Driving a C5500 4x4 wrecker almost daily, I can't imagine riding around on rigid seat mounts.. Much less traveling any kind of distance! I'm exited to see your results on the dynamat install.. these trucks are damn noisy.. Definitely like it without the flatbed! Nice work!

The extra weight of the camper actually make this rig ride pretty decent. I have helper airbags front and rear as well. It rides great I don’t think taking the air ride seats out will make much of an impact but I will keep you guys updated on how I like them!

First timer here, Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ✌🏻. What engine, diesel is in your rig? Is my #1 question, #2 would be, did you pull the old sagging roof liner, the saging junk off? and glue on the new felt? Or 🤔❓re stick the saging old one first??? Anyway ✌🏻great truck. I'm asking because my roof liner is saging in my Yukon XL, l so want a black roof! ✌🏻🤘🙋‍♂️🌤🇨🇦👨‍🦽😎.

6.6 duramax engine! It was only saggy in one small spot so I just replied that and then the felt! It worked for me! Thanks for following along!

Watching you make progress inspires me to get building as well. With a very limited budget I think I may start with a 2WD u haul chassis. Could you do without the crew cab or is it really use full space?

That’s awesome! We could have lived with the single cab but the extra space is nice to have. We don’t have kids it’s just us 2. I’m trying to make the rig as light as possible and a 2 door would take some weight away for sure. We plan to do a pass thru at some point as well!

Nothing they were just cloth and kinda dirty from the previous owner. With the weight of the camper the truck actually rides pretty good. No need for air ride seats imo!

I love the Kodiak platform. Heavy duty brakes, frame axles etc.. looks awesome. Tons of power and decent fuel economy for being 17k lbs with the camper on and all our gear.
