Great video, was looking to see how these hydr tanks were made on the inside. For your outside corner joints, if you go slower, let the cleaning action work more and of course get your hand as comfortable as you can, the beads will sit in cleaner. I run about 140amps but use maybe 120amps on 1/8 material. Torch angle should be around 10-15 degrees, cfh around 12-15 on a #5 cup, or 20cfh for a 7 cup that I use often. The slower, the better, the beads will become consistent and you will see a difference, trust me. If you aren't getting shinier, cleaner beads, mess with your balance if you can. I use -35% balance on an Everlast 255ext. If yours has positive balance, it will be 65% balance. But great video, I really needed that to learn on how these tanks work, I would have jacked one up if I didn't see this 😅
This the reason I bought my Spliter from you. When you call you are talking to the man that owns the company and to me in small business that’s a great thing.
Dude....this is awesome! I'm hoping this is the start of an ongoing series of build process or "how they're made"...good stuff. And congrats on the international sale! 👍Wolfe Ridge International...oh yeah!!! BTW, love that 'custom phone holder'! 😀🤟
You finally showed some Fab work! If you remember I have mentioned this a couple of times before and you should show more of it. Let's see some steel work, solid wire, fcaw or stick. Show some prep work,fit-up and so on so people can actually see the quality of your product. 👍
Good evening. Checkout Black Stallion. They've got gloves etc for welding/ fabrication. Might have something for you. Wish I had a 1/8 the welding ability of ya. My work doesn't come close. Thanks for showing us a fab up vlog. Be safe. Merry Christmas.
Chris, that is a nice tank assembly there. Few questions...what size bung did you weld on the suction port? do you run a suction strainer? do you have any problems with oil getting to hot? Do you use a oil cooler on any trailered units? Keep up the great work! I may have to swing up and see your operation. I can always go for Pizza Ranch and “Save Big Money” store.
Chris, if you send me two of those “got wood” shirts I’ll send you one of my old weld jackets! I hate to hear people calling you lobster arms at the holiday parties this year!
I am planning on adding a hour meter to a few pieces of my equipment and since everything you use is quality like Honda, etc, what brand and model do you use on your splitters? Got a link? Hope you show some more Fab work soon. Thanks
We actually buy them off Amazon. Honda wanted $23 each for some off brand. I order them from Racing Powersports or something or other on Amazon for $7.99. They work well, had 1 bad one out of 300 now.
Might be easier to run outside welds down hill? Goes alot faster for me. Also save some time just mig the inside and do all your outside tig. How much pressure are you running your argon gas?
