Its beautiful, and you did a Masterful job of construction. We would have to use poly here in America cuz we get hail. A lot less expensive to replace than glass.

Iroquois is the favorite canolope me and anyone who gets a vine ripen canolope of my choice,We raised them for years. They are the type that the stem at the base drys turn brown and will break off when ripen. Sir, I have seen your post with a canolope and if you are interested I will send you a package of seeds if import laws allow it, Hope the Shipping change ain't stopping me. Send mail information if interested you might have a new favorite canolope.

@@cathiwim It is tempered glass he is installing, so hail would be not problem. As for expense, polycarbonate has greatly increased in price since every school, store, resturaunt, etc., is having to install covid-19 screens. Also glass should last for...well, forever, but poly degrades over time in sunlight.

@@Randistuff We are just finishing ours (36x12) in Vancouver WA. It's a Janssen greenhouse sold in the US by Exaco. It cost us 12K for the kit and probably another 6 for all the preparation for it. It's also a real pain to put together, and not all the instructions are accurate so you have to figure some things out. Still, it's a beautiful greenhouse. I do wish we had raised ours as you see in this video, so I would recommend that.

I am guessing your from the U.S. as i am, but in Europe things are usually done with high standards, just as a custom. Not that we don't have high standards in the U.S. but we do have a culture of cheap or flimsily made things, with cost reduction in mind, as construction goods are so expensive in the U.S.

It looks wonderful. My uncle built a greenhouse to stand for the ages and now it's a big problem removing it. Permanence is nice and solid but change is certain, so I believe in building with change in mind.

Johny hancock Believe me, that happens here in Europe too. The trends of today are quickness and cost efficiency. -Make as much as possible, as quick as possible and as cheap as possible. You know, cause that's efficient and economical right? The building contractors and companies are reducing the costs in every level and have short and optimistic building schedules in order to succeed in the competition and to get the contracts to themselves. The quality of the work declines inevitably when the companies save money in material choices and by reducing the amount of workers. The tight schedules and reduced amount of workers leads to haste and rushing. Due to these reasons, modern buildings are often poorly made and suffers from many kind of problems. Tend to look quite ugly too... It's not just a disease of only the U.S. but pretty much all of the modern world.

Or it just falls in your lap or you steal it one way or another ...there is WHOLE LOT of "ill gotten gains" in this world ...not all of it was ever truly "earned" ...I am not saying it is the case here, I have no idea ...but I'm just sayin that it is never just a given that someone's money was truly "earned" via "hard work"

The truth is, that one can never earn enough money to be rich. The only way you get rick is by getting many other people to earn your money. And working hard has absolutely nothing to do with it. It seems to me that hard work and earnings are inversely proportional. I will never forget the day I paid the roofing crew that re-roofed my house. They worked hard for a week and did a superb job in hot July sun. They were paid less than half what the fat blowhard real-estate agent made from taking a few crappy photos of the house and making a mess of price negotiations.
