Part 9 of building the GT27 - a 27' long, roomy, trailerable river cruiser designed by Jacques Mertens.
We began the build in late July 2018. Part 9 documents the installation of some of the interior cabin walls, insulation, windows, and roof mounted ventilation fan, as well as trailering the boat 1300 miles to a new home.

Hope you're getting settled in at your new home and there will be time to finish the boat. Just finished watching all 9 videos. Very impressive work. Can't wait to see Not Too Shanty in the water.

Good luck in WI! Happy winter. But western Wisc can put you on a few bodies of water, not the least of which,the Mississippi! I’ll be watching the finish.

Yes I grew up on the Mississippi in Dubuque, IA. Now we're just a short distance away from it again living in River Falls, WI. This boat will be perfect for that river.

@@LiveDontWatch I grew up north of St Louis, where the Missouri and Illinois converge. Spent many hours on the river above lock 27, the last on the river. It’ll be a great River boat. Beware of the rolling tug wakes!!

The boat is looking good. Great name. Good luck in Wisconsin, plenty of boating opportunities up there. I used to go fishing in northwest Wi. In the Danbury area.

Loving your build for years, involving all of your family and it’s looking fantastic. Was wondering how heavy it will be at least 7000 lbs with tanks filled , loaded with your motor. Enjoy your adventures together.

Yes, I wondered about the towing logistics. Having had a similar size boat in the past, it was very easy to get to the towing limits, and not getting away from standard braking systems and into the expensive breakaway load area.

The boat should come out at or under 6000 I think. It's around 4000 now plus 2000 for the trailer.

do you have a video showing the construction of the outboard bracket?

That's a commercially ordered/welded aluminum outboard bracket but the installation is shown in an earlier video.

I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro and I use the royalty free music library on RU-vid.

Could you please let me know the model of the Anhui Maygood windows you ordered?

It's very difficult to say for sure. I ordered them three or more years ago and it took over a year to get them to close the deal. I don't know the exact model number but they're a gray tinted acrylic insulated model, about 19" h x 32" l or so.

Bought the same plans several years ago and then stumbled across a Yukon Delta at a good price. I told the wife I couldn’t build as much boat for the price. Still looking to build one though. Looking forward to seeing you float this one.
