Yeah unfortunately! As much as I love to support local, it’s difficult to do so when you have negative experiences. It doesn’t deter us though from giving the benefit of the doubt to the next person we hire. Our previous gardener broke into my moms place and stole a bunch of things despite treating him like family. It’s really a sad situation. Yeah they were drunk most of the time unfortunately. :/ but hey we make the best of what we get👌🏾

So to cut a long story short. We had to fire him due to him not showing up for work, and lying claiming that his family members were dead when he wouldn’t show up to work.😅 He was only working 2x a week which gave him enough time to do other things during the days he wasn’t working. And he would steal fruit and hide it to take home (don’t mind him taking some if only he would ask). And always asking personal questions that weren’t appropriate. To mention a few 😅

Thank you we are hoping that as time goes by, we will be able to make the place a safe place that is comfortable for them. 😊😊

@@NatashaM. Oh dear😑 I knew there were some shenanigans regarding the gardener involved. It's so frustrating. Many workers do this sort of behaviour unfortunately. He might probably try to come back begging for his job back several times with a sob story so be prepared! Sometimes they will get their mother to come and do the begging if they are in their 20's 💀

@@britjj5126 Yeah unfortunately we had given him multiple chances. And stealing is one thing I don’t tolerate. 🤦 I’m sure he will but it will be too late.
