Nose si es muy funcional pero desde luego que quedo súper , excelente proyecto, me gustaría poner un porta vuelto en el techo , uno como este se ve genial, que lo disfrutes
@@UtahJohnnyL I recently saw a lifted Kia Soul. He was trying too hard to compete with Pepe, but it just looked garbage. I want this car so bad. You should make a list of all the parts so I can do this to mine in the future.
Hi, I just want to say good job and I would recommend you send this video to car throttle if you want to be featured because they would 100% like this Keep it up ^_^
Pepe was spectacular, I loved the whole transformation ,,, I congratulate him. I share that concept of a mini “baja” style, I have a mini countryman, I increased the height and all terrain tires and roof rack. It is not at the level of Pepe, but it is the concept .. I congratulate you, Pepe is a dream and you did it !!!
I have to say this is the best video of a project I’ve seen. Detailed narration. And even without video. I’ve been looking for a sub $1k vehicle to keep it basically cost free. Nothing in mind other than it runs. The vision you had with this vehicle is astounding. I’ve considered an old chevette. I would do what you did. Well played my man. Tires and wheels first and everything falls int9 place after that. I love it
Lol, that is a lot of squeeze for the juice! Your skill level is obviously far superior to the average mini owner. And the exhaust sounds like junior got a shot of testosterone and his voice got deeper and louder. What fun.
Awesome, saw this car at the cars and coffee last weekend and was hoping I could find the owner to tell me how you did it. Randomly recommended to me as well which is strange, wasn't looking for lifted minis.
L O V E the build; awesome modifications that makes the car look more proportioned than initially intended, such an amazing job! Now, I wanna know if I can get that same exhaust sound on a 1600cc VW type1?
Great video. Two quick questions… How much ground clearance did your Mini have after fitting the Journeys Off Road lift kit (with standard wheels and tyres)? Once the lift kit was fitted, what is the tallest tyre do you think could be fitted without modifying the bodywork? Thanks. Mac
great video and very nice pepe, seeing your video inspired me to work on a 2004 one that I have and I will do it just like Pepe, soon I will start working on it
I’ve had so many issues with my runflat tires because they are so rigid they don’t take any impact so they just get transferred to the rim and because of that I’ve probably been to 8 rims i’ve been wondering if I could lift it and put some meaty tires on it I probably won’t go as meaty as you but this was very helpful
Will depend on how large of tire you go. If you're lifting a base vehicle, you may not want go that large as it takes away some power. Stock wheels would be fine for a size or two up, but anything larger you will have clearance issues as the offset of the stock wheels is not correct. Good luck!
Dude this is un-fucking believable and you should video record yourself doing some of the stuff you mentioned, nothing fancy just pint the camera at the thing your doing, even if its a section at a time and then make that a high speed playing clips with you doing voice over. Anyway just my thoughts, best of luck to you. Love from Cape Town South Africa
I have a mine r50 1st gen and I was wondering how hard was it to make that front crash bar/skider with the aluminum piece on it 🤔 I so want one for mine
All was well with the angles. No issues. Running the larger tires definitely affected the performance, so that required the engine power mods as noted to bring it back to where it needed to be. Cheers!
Hello, I have a 2005 mini s convertible that I was thinking of doing something like this. Kind of a dune-buggy with a roll cage, lift, and maybe eventually a k24 swap with the CR-V awd. how does the front wheel drive do off-road?
Hi, congratulations it's a great project! How about fuel comsumption ? I don't guess it can stick to the road as before but is it still a balanced vehicle?
Thank you. I did not monitor fuel consumption too closely honestly. The lift and tires did indeed change the dynamics of the suspension as it would with any lift and tires, yes. Cheers!
Hello, it is in "que" at Bring A Trailer, but they are very busy apparently. If I don't here from them shortly, I will seek another option and let you know! Thanks!
DO IT. I have my mini countryman lifted 2 1/2 inches with some sporty offroad-looking tires ( I don't remember the specs) that also gives me 1 more inch. I took my mini on a little offroading and after offroading 4x4 cars with locking diffs, I am very shocked at how well the mini's all-wheel drive system is. Two wheels were off the ground and it sent power to the wheels on the ground really quickly. It also drives very similar to stock, just not as sporty. Well worth the mods. If you're still planning on modifying it, I can send links of the tires and parts I used. Have a great day.
@@UtahJohnnyL nice! Well if you’re ever in Colorado offroading let me know. I’d love to see what that thing is capable of out here. Might do better than my 4Runner considering it’s not super wide lol.
i have a 2011 mini i'm getting my hands on shortly and this is total feels right here. i don't know that i'll go with the same tire shenanigans but lift, bumper, top rack, half as many lights :P and hell yes.
Insanely cool build!!!! BTW, your "prehistoric sideshow " video is better than most of the plainly terrible videos that some of the RU-vid hacks put up so please keep up the great work. Next project maybe a K24 swapped all wheel drive mini???😅😅😅
Just curious how much MPG did you lose (not like it matters) out of curiosity, and ride quality for the daily commute, wet/dry/snow, etc...I'm thinking of converting an r53 into an offroad and r56 into a track car.
Great build. Thanks for posting the video and pics. For a few years now I have toyed with the idea of doing something similar to my MKIV VW GTI. Any chance you can dig up what the snorkel was that you used? I have not been able to find one and the one you used looks like it may work for my car.
The snorkel is just ornamental (mentioned in the vid), thanks and best of luck on yours! I've seen a few people having similar built rides these days 👍
Do I detect some blue smoke mixed in with the condensation from that exhaust? How's the car running today bud...any oil consumption? Cool project though man.
