you could also use war elemental in place of red terror in the red terror shallia and hallar combo

May be a bit of a necropost, but there's some other combo pieces that went overlooked. War elemental. It's restrictive, but a red source doing damage is easy enough to attain. I like zhur-taa druid, doubles as a mana dork and damage dealer. Phyrexian devourer is a 1 card combo with Shalai and Hallar. You can run Cleric Class in place of heliod. I run both in mine, as cleric class tends to get a lot less attention than heliod, but its the same amount of mana to do the same effect.

Forgotten Ancient is good as well if you have a lot of people casting then having forgotten to move its counters to another creature triggers your commander to deal damage at one person who might be a threat in the game early on

Love this! I’ve been looking for a deck for Red Terror, and I just pulled Shalai and Hallar yesterday. This should be fun!

I have The Red Terror in another deck, but since I do not own Heliod, Sun Crowned, I put Cleric Class in. Out of the box, first cuts were cards specific to Planechase, along with the two partner commanders. In their place went Scurry Oak, Herd Baloth, Soul Warden, Ivy Lane Denizen, and Cleric Class. As long as I can trigger life gain or green creatures entering play, I can win.

nice list i would recommend changing autumn veil and nature's claim for a lightning bolt and maybe rending volley to remove enemy dranith just incase you face one. the list only has 1 swords to plowshares to answer problematic creatures. keep up the nice content.

I don't know if someone already said this, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a budget way to go infinite is is with ageless entity. Get lifelink on Shalai and Hallar, gain life, trigger ageless entity, get counters, and keep spiraling.

I am so glad you published this video today because I've been working on my list since Saturday night, where I came back from a cEDH tournament, where the meta was very Najeela, Blue Farm, Rog/Si heavy (as expected). Which made me want to lean a bit towards stax. I didn't compete, but was rather there as an observer. I had hoped to see some new spice but no luck. Glad a Magda took it though. Either way! I am glad you are leaning more towards stax, because I know there are some people who are leaning more towards turbo-ing out a combo. Which is fair but in these colors, I think using stax is a great advantage one shouldn't shy away from. My questions is this though, how much do I want to hurt my own self with my own stax pieces. I currently run 3 Null Rod effects, and run a very small number of artifacts in the deck. Have Ballista in a maybe board section because I can hurt it myself. Emiel and Dockside (a combo I didn't notice in your list btw-it is a direct wincon as Emiel puts a +1/+1 counter on the blinked creature so Shalai and Hallar sees and kills your opponents with it) is also a combo hurt by our on stax pieces. I am leaning heavy on Red Terror, All Will Be One, and Heliod. Specifically Heliod. There are also a few creatures caring about lifegain and +1/+1 synergy based on lifegain, like Trelassara. I know it is very niche and difficult to pull of but is harder to interact with. I am also testing out Spirit of the Labyrinth, with all the midrange decks out there. I would take out most of the rocks and replace them with dorks. That way you can keep your mana while shutting everyone else's down.

Thoughts on War Elemental? It's not as good as Heliod or Terror but it does combo with S&H. I personally go a staxier version than what you have here, but the general idea is the same.

I was thinking Exoskeleton. Able to poison a player with high life or a defensive borde.

To be honest, there is not much left of the PreCon beside "Shalai and Hallar" and with more than 5.500€ nearly every EDH-Deck is a winner deck.
