Definitely one of your best models to date... and yes, I agree, it was clever of Tamiya to re-issue thet kit with some updated details. The figures look like resin quality. Love the paintwork of both the tank itself and the figures.. and it was great to see some footage from Rome as well, I was wondering if you had been to see the places from WWII, as shown in news reels from the time etc. I'm glad you did get to see some of them. So yes, another great looking tank for your collection.. I may have to get this kit at some point in the future, I don't really have a lot of Italian tanks or vehicles in my collection.. :)
This is a great kit that's reasonably priced. If you want to add Italian tanks in your collection, this kit from Tamiya should be on your list. Thanks for watching.
You have picked the right background for your Italian armor build there Collin, awesome! Rome is beautiful and interesting on so many levels, probably my favourite big city in the world. This reminds me, i should return there rather sooner than later. Speaking of your model, great job man! That kit is old, but you made it shine. My compliments!
I stayed in Rome for only a week and it was too short. You are right. Rome has so many things to see and do that you can't fully enjoy it with only one visit. I might return there again one of these days. The people there were friendly and the I love the history. Thank you for appreciating my work. I honestly appreciate it. 😀😀
Thank for watching my video. Sadly this is true, I think. Not a lot of model kit builders take on the Italian tank subject. I think it's because of the false reputation that it gained by British propaganda in World War Two. I watched video from the Tank Museum in England. They done a mini documentary about this tank. According to them, this tank is no worse than the British made tanks of that time era but it was successful British propaganda that told lies about the tank as being inferior. That propaganda still lives on to this day. Thank you for watching my video.
Nice job, you are really getting better with the figures. Do you plan on going into exclusive figure painting and modeling in the future? I have built two of Italeri Armato kits and I have to say the Tamiya kit appears to go together very easily and well fitting, as usual with Tamiya. The Italeri kit had the , (in my opinion) plastic, strength issues but a nice build eventually. I will put this one on my birthday list.
Hi, thank you for noticing my figure painting skills are improving. 😀😀 I plan to build both vehicles and paint more figures in the future. I never built the Italeri kit version but I do like this Tamiya kit. Thanks for watching my video and I want to wish you and your family a happy new year.
You have really improved in the last few years. Your weathering and figures are really Good. You Should enter them in your local IPMS contest. I'm sure you would win an award. Good show QDC love your stuff!
haha no joke?? I just came home from a few days in Rome just yesterday. Have been to all the usual places. BTW there is a street in Rome where the houses still have bullet holes from german soldiers that were shooting around after a partisan attack. You can google the event: Via Rasella Attack from 1944. Nice historical place. They left the Buildings in the state of 1944 at this corner.
Good for you. No, I didn't see the famous bullet holes. To be quite frank with you, Rome is such an amazing place to see that I'd rather see other things in Rome rather than bullet holes. Sorry. Thank you for watching my video. I want to wish you and your family a happy new year. Take care.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm not trying to brag, but I think I've improved with my painting skills. Thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it.
Hi Qdc, this is off the topic of this beautiful Italian tank build, but I was wondering if you could tell me if you ended up putting tiny rivets on that miniart build of the dingo? I’m working on it now and there are some very tiny bolts to attach to the handles! Thanks for putting putting out some great videos!👍🏾
I don't remember. It's been so long ago since I built that kit. I forgot Sorry. But thank you for watching this video. Sorry I don't remember the details of the dingo. Sorry.
Hope you enjoy your stay in Rome and all the history on offer . Now to the model loved the paint scheme you used , along with a really nice paint job keep up the great work and say hello to Buster when you arrive home stay safe and well.
Thank you. Buster says hello back. If you haven't been to Rome, I highly recommend it! And, thank you for your kinds words regarding my model. This is one of the better projects I've done and I truly enjoyed building and painting it. Take care 😀😀
I am an Italian model maker, your M13/40 is beautiful. You built it very well, I also really like the figures. I built it too and it's very nice. Hi Corrado
@@qdc748a i like your chanel becuse you make tanks very good right of the boxs!and something like novise can do when they just lerning on your videos Very useful!!
My French writing skills are poor so I have to reply back in English. I am sorry. Yes, this is a good kit that uses old molds but the newer molds added makes it a good product that's reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed in building this kit. Thank you for watching my video. I want to wish you and your family a happy new year.
Funny! I watched video from the Tank Museum. They done a mini documentary about this tank. According to them, this tank is no worse than the British made tanks of that time era but it was successful British propaganda that told lies about the tank as being inferior. That propaganda still lives on to this day. Thank you for watching my video.
Great work again Q. I think that the clock ticking in the background is like a tranquil mood setter. Like a metronome of inspiring calm before taking on a difficult model kit. I wanted to know what issues you found with this tank. It appears like there was some pinkish putty used around the hull. Was there a fitting problem or lack of texture? Also the crisp little figure had some of it as well. It really turned out nice. Loved to see the Coliseum in the video. It’s astonishing that they constructed that almost 2,000 years ago! Take care my friend & keep ‘em coming
I found this tank has little issues altogether. Although Tamiya has combined several older kits, I think they done this well to make it affordable to the consumer. Of course, Tamiya can manufacture a new kit with the latest technology, but the cost would be out of reach for some consumers. I just want to thank you for watching my video. I honestly appreciate it. Take care.
