Only channel i get excited when a video is upload, really inspiring. Motivates me to build a CNC myself but always put it off due to excuses.

Your comments are encouraging. It's hard for me to stay motivated too! We are all busy, so I understand what you are saying. Why don't you buy a commercial CNC machine and try to modify it first? It is important to start first. If you try it, you will feel a lot more than you can imagine. Do what you want to do!

@@a-cnc-f From making things in the past i learned if i buy cheap, i have to buy twice, Been hesitate to start a build due to the never ending expense, Space and budget has stopped me. From your videos i see space isn't a reason but if i am going to do it i want to do i the 'Right' way what ever right means. Found Aluminium tooling plate budget friendly and already has a good tolerance, been looking into 3D printing a most outer casing of a machine then using Expoxy granite with steel mesh/rods for the joining of parts. Then use that to machine the aluminium parts. Hard to get out of the CAD stage and start the build. Then it comes down to what type of motion drive, Belts Vs leadscrew Vs ball screw, all having pros/cons. Either way i know i will get around to building it. I can say your videos are a massive inspiration, keep up with outstanding work !! Thanks for the reply.

You have already gone one step further! I believe that everything a person goes through is not in vain. It is what you think was a failure that is the source of your success. I'm getting a bit old for that, but overall, I think it's important not to give up, no matter how old you are. If you don't give up, failure is the source of success.

Can you manufacture all the parts of your CNC with your CNC? Even without the electronics and bearings - That would be epic. Love this channel ❤

Typically, the parts for almost all CNC machines currently in production are made using other CNC machines. I’m also thrilled that you all enjoy my channel.

@@a-cnc-f yea I'm also working with limited space, and was researching small multi axis CNCs, and luckily found your channel :) Can't wait for you to be satisfied with the design, and start replicating it. I love the concept of 3D printers printing themselves and also CNCs that can build more of themselves. Please duplicate and give to at least two friends, and tell them to do the same... 🌳 Perhaps one day it would reach me and I can also get and gift CNCs to my friends. All the best !

Your new robot voice is a lot higher quality than the old one, but I'm already used to the old one and think of it as your voice. Now instead of hearing what I've come to think of as you, I'm hearing a generic narrator. Consider the point. Otherwise, good video as always. And magnificent legs.

I am not trying to denigrate CAD and CAM at all. It is just that using CAD and CAM when machining something simple and requiring precision is conversely bad for productivity. This is not something new to me. I'm just reiterating it in this video because my project is such a process right now.

how do you keep those chips from spreading all over your home?
@a-cnc-f
@a-cnc-f 4 месяца назад
Whenever CNC machining is performed, the cutting chips do not fly around as they are processed inside a soundproof box. The problem is with drilling, band sawing, and other manual operations. The DIY aluminum case is very good because it is a box and the metal shavings are stored in the lower section. The other thing is cleaning anyway. I vacuum before the cutting chips get stuck in my wife's feet.

the other question is how are you locating parts on that machine without losing your mind
@a-cnc-f
@a-cnc-f 4 месяца назад
So what you are saying is how you determine the origin. Normally, all professional part fabrication is based on drawings, and all machining must be done as described in the drawings and as directed, or the part will be defective. However, when it comes to DIY hobbyists, there is no need to follow such a perfect process. Also, few people have the equipment to perform such a perfect process. At least I do not have such facilities. If I had enough industrial machinery to use as a hobbyist, that would be my heaven. We need a different way of thinking to solve this problem. actual parts matching is what is important for DIY level machining. In other words, the origin is not very important. Only the necessary machining is necessary, since the process is not assembly but machining. I think the next video in this series will be about that.

shopee.sg/Xencelabs-Quick-Keys-Wireless-Remote-OLED-Display-8-programmable-keys-5-key-sets-40-unique-shortcut-keys-i.44248756.10151104445

Wouldn't be better if you get a vacuum cleaner to suck all that swarf up instead of pushing it all over the place or worse recutting chip's

I also work late at night. The sound of the vacuum cleaner also becomes a noise source late at night. But if it is during the daytime, I think vacuuming is effective.
