Ok, so. Here's the second of a rather ambitious four part series in which I completely transform the centre of my workshop. The idea is to have a single rolling cart that houses both a proper table saw and a router table, extraction for both, and all the related power and accessories in such a way that there's only a single power lead coming out of the unit.
This second part, aptly named "Part 2", involves the building of a fairly small cabinet which will house all of my cleaning and maintenance stuff, the accessories for my jointer, and a small set of shelves which will hold the small day-to-day use items for my table saw. I'll be doing some extra videos in shorts and IG Reels so keep an eye out for those as well.
The design of this basic cabinet is essentially just four boxes, and built with my handy "Satan's Drawers" design from the Milescraft Back To Basics series I did for Timbecon a while back. The entire cabinet and all the shelves are built from very affordable B/C grade 12mm non-structural Plywood.
Random side note, being essentially just a bunch of boxes, I'll be including this video in the springtime box making challenge. It counts, but also kind doesn't count at the same time...
And finally, here's a link to "The Woodbiz Podcast" mentioned at the end of the video:

I'm feeling the struggle at the start of your video. I broke my wrist 2 weeks ago and can't even grind my own pepper let alone get out in to the workshop and finish the custom doors I was ready to glue up the day before it happened 🤯. The one handed thing is a curse!!! 🤣

Oh my dude. I feel that. Where are you? Do you need some help?

@@graduallywizardly I'm in Canberra. Thanks for the offer! I'll practice patience while I wait for my new PJ parallel clamps (from Timbecon of course) and the glass for the doors. Always delays out of my control.

Delays are all part of it. It’s why we always give massive lead times and have several projects on the go.

Looks like you've been buying plywood from the hammer barn. All bent and twisted. :)

Yeah man, it was a fun little fight for sure. I bought the cheapest I could find; none of the joinery came out clean because none of the cuts were square because none of the ends were flat. In spite of all that though, it’s perfectly functional as is. I might add some trim later to clean it up a bit visually though.

Looking good and organized. The Latin had me Googling. Do you think in metric?

Absolutely do; measuring things in body parts is stupid and archaic.
