I would love to see more community lot builds like park builds! They are so interesting to watch and help to see what is in the game cause there was definitely some things you had that I never saw before XD

I've been watching so many Minecraft videos that, when Kayla got to the part where she was talking about needing more light to make sure the park was lit up at night, I thought "Well, of course you want it lit up. Otherwise you'll get hostile mobs when it's dark".

speaking of wild terrain paint, i was FLABBERGASTED when i realized that the grass texture used in the giant house lot in brindleton bay uses the grass texture that we didnt have access to until we got HORSES!!!!! i was absolutely gobsmacked. just in full disbelief.

I had a sim who’s favourite drink was the love potion. I also made this really exciting hardcore party animal sim once, was so excited to see what he’d pick, he got sparkling water.

personally simsie, i love watching you do park builds because i never know where to start, especially with 64x64 lots like this one. watching your process helps me create my own process and be like "oh yeah, that's a good idea, i should do that" or "oh i would do that differently, i would have xyz and not abc". visuals are very helpful to me when i feel overwhelmed, so i'm very grateful for videos like this!

I love using this lot as an amusement park with the High School Years items, makes it so much more interesting that just another random park

My myshuno park build is my favorite build I’ve done- I spent days on it, only to find out that sims don’t even spawn there, just the little food area at the bottom 😞

I love to see the community lots. 😃For my playstyle, those are the lots I almost always get from the gallery. I mean, you can only play in so many houses at a time with your sims, but you can visit plenty more community lots and the default ones usually are meh... 😅 so I allways love when you make new pretty and actually useful ones!🤗

11:20 In real life you'd be able to either tuck the projector and speakers away or cover them with a tarp. Since they literally don't give us the option, the outdoor movie theatre shouldn't break when you leave it outdoors.

This park is beautiful, Kayla! I’d love to see you do more outdoor builds. Maybe a botanical garden?? I’d also love to see you build a cemetery, I love having those in my games especially with the black widow challenge that I’m playing currently.

My life also revolves around cats. My bf and I got one in July last year from a pet store, one in October last year from a friend who needed to rehome one of their cats, and then rescued one in January (we found her outside and it was getting to like -40°C so we needed to bring her in, and no one claimed her and she wasnt chipped so we kept her). So in less than a year we got three cats and yeah, life revolves around them. Id have it no other way though

Wow! What a gorgeous build. As a player who's spent quite a lot of time at that lot, because it IS such a great lot, trying to remodel it, you really cooked here, girlie. Honestly the ONLY thing that it's missing is fire lamps from dining out in the outdoor areas. Ha! Anything to prevent them from freezing to death, right? I'm so, honestly, flabbergasted. I love trying to remodel in the sims 4, but you have such a keen sense of eye, style, and the drive to make it all fit and work. Whenever I try, I get so box-y and boring, creating lots too big to accommodate as many as possible, or not knowing how to go about it. Your stylization, is *chef's kiss*. Honestly only thing's I would want to add but probably don't have the capacity to is: litterbox and at least one cat tree, dining out outdoor fire warmth, a makeup table from Luxury kit or whatever, and like maybe a lemonade tray or some drink trays around but that's like it. Absolutely perfect build. Hey, is there any chance you can build me like, a super awesome house that can fit a whole entire household including say a baby, infant, dog, and/or cat? Oh you know what I'd love for the sims team to do, is fix Laundry Day because I literally am running a near 8-person household and you can't keep up on the laundry with two washers, two dryers, and two laundry baskets. Literally all it's good for is leveling up handiness skill , swear. Is Growing Together or whatever it's called worth it for the splash pads? xD ugh

My sim's favorite drink is the plasma Jane, the vampire cocktail, even though he's not a vampire. He gets sick every time he gets a drink, and he does it autonomously often, it's so annoying 😭

I like the idea of having game tables that match the chess tables. I dislike the looks of all the game tables. To me, they all look like junky fold-up tables rather than something you'd want in your home. But I like having my Sims have a 4-person game they can use. So I use the nicest one and ignore how it looks.

For your next big speed build you should make a sorority house with all of the fancy sitting rooms and skills spaces. Or a frat house and make it grimey lol

I like park videos. In fact, I love community lot videos in general. I think there's so many items in the game that get overlooked because people just build houses- but there's a ton of items that are so useful if you just consider community lots.

I really wish the Sims Build mode had a “saved items” tab so you could pick your items from build/buy and drop them there like an inventory so they were easy to grab but off the lot and out of the way so you could put your items you’ll use down and then build without having to work around them. I know sims have a household inventory but a lot of times when I build I’m in manage worlds so a different type of inventory would be great.

I loved this build parks are fun I like to have them in my game and I enjoyed watching this. This lot is so big it's crazy. Also, I do still hire people for events I haven't hired a caterer in a really long time I usually just have my Sims do it but I often hire bar tenders for weddings as well as using the buffet table.

I love park videos because I don’t normally build them unless it’s for a savefile. They are so useful when they have lots of things to do on them.

Please make more park builds I always struggle finding parks that look good and have a lot of things to do

I like the look of this park. In fact, I enjoy watching all of your builds, Kayla, to either include them in my worlds, or get ideas for builds/renovations I may want to do.

I always hire because I don't want my sims doing the work and use the rewards system. But that means you have to eat cake or food or drink. It's been pretty annoying to not have enough party places outside the home that has the functionality, so I'm thrilled you included the minimum that is needed (and that you kept the wedding venue). I love multifunctionality! The new party/date system where you get to pick your own functions is so much better too!

I almost always hire bartenders for my sims' parties. I always give their houses bars (sometimes a cheap fold out one in the garden and sometimes a 4 tile professional one if they're rich) and then concentrate the party in that general area. It makes meeting party goals a lot easier imo because there's usually one about having sims drink. I don't really bother with caterers, though. My sims often like to cook for themselves so I just drag surplus dishes out of the fridge and put them on the table for guests to grab.

My small town park has 2 vending machines in it. One for drinks and one for chips/candy. Although you can bring your own stuff, it's definitely nice when you forget lol.

I love the sewer kitty story. My life sort of mirrored that recently. My parents live near a forest, and we’re feeding a stray cat. I named this cat “swamp kitty,” inspired by your name of sewer kittens. Anyways turns out the cat was pregnant, and had SEVEN KITTENS. I’m taking two of them

I would love to see in thesims an enormous park where there are some things to do, but not too much and really far apart. Those park that are characterized by big areas with threes and big areas with only grass

It's somehow comforting to me that when it takes me four hours to build a house in Sims 3, an experienced builder in Sims 4 can still take even longer. If you ask me to build a park this big in Sims 4, it could well take me some 16 hours, but still 😅

2:30 - Think of it like layers like in Photoshop. The lot and its content is one layer, and the world layer is below it. We can do whatever we want on the lot, but we cannot edit the world layer. So the terrain paint isn't stuck on the lot, it's placed on the world layer, hence we can't edit it.

It looks great! The only thing that kept getting to me was the observatory, because that giant oak tree would block it so badly lol

I want a games 'table' that is just an item you can place on any table, sort of just an outline like the mural item. Or just make it a game box that can be placed anywhere, then the sims can grab a game out of it to take to a table sort of how they can grab a book then sit down somewhere to read it! Also a chess game that can be placed on any table would be so helpful.

Vending machines at parks are pretty normal to me! There are vending machines literally every block in Tokyo, and a big park like this would definitely have multiple vending machines!

I wish they would patch the blanket TV so that it doesn't break in the rain! I think it should definitely be an exception! I use it outside so much!

I usually hire guests that I don't have the space to invite My legacy save has a BUNCH of extended family who end up being able to be hired as caterer or bartender or entertainer, so I usually "invite" them via hiring them so I have more invite slots for the rest of the family Storytelling wise I view it as them ringing up the cousin like "I love that meal you make will you do it for the wedding?" Or "we want you to play the music for our birthday party!" And so on bc I know that that happens irl and it's so cute (and hilarious when the person is a global superstar violinist and your sim doesn't even officially know her despite being related)

That things evolving around cats sounds so relatable. When in 2019 the water pump produced smoke in the basement and we had to call the fire brigade, me and my mum went obviously outside, but we couldn't find our only living cat Saku 🐈 . I urged (I had never raised my voice as much) the first responders to pick him up, but they completely ignored me. There wasn't actually a fire. But even today I feel upset towards the firefighters even though Saku is fine (turned 19 recently). Our mother and daughter cat pair Macy (we spell it Meisi) and Fluffy had passed away due to cancers not long before that incident.

I do in fact hire caterers and bartenders for events. Sometimes, if I am playing with a rich sim who hates to cook, I order caterers from the fridge to make them several meals.

Vending machine in the park is not weird at all! While a vending machine in a park is not as common in America as in a place like Japan, it’s still pretty normal for city parks even here.

i once had a sim whose favourite drink was water, which i found soooo funny. later on in my gameplay i found the sim a partner, and while i was on a date with the two sims i ordered the new sim’s favourite drink… which ended up being water as well!!! it felt like they were meant to be.
