A really great build review of your FW 190 A-4, i like your way how do you modelling, also your style like J.M. Villaba in some parts, i think he is one of the best aircraft modelers on the world.
Sorry, I’m not going to make friends here but I just cannot get on with speeded up films, I can’t see what is happening because it happens so fast! Don’t get me wrong I love the finished result, absolutely brilliant but please slow it down so I can see what you are doing properly. I am a returning modeller, used to make models in my youth and then family commitments etc meant I had to give it up but now! I am divorced and retired and have built up a work place where I build any subject from cars and tanks to aircraft and I love the Eduard kits, I am about to attempt the FW 190 from the said supplier so need all the help I can get. So please slow down and move in a tad closer, us old’uns do need to reign you youngsters in a bit! Overall brilliant, keep up the good work.
May not be possible but would be awesome if you could get the camera closer when doing details like you was with the brush on the engine lines. Regardless, thanks mate, well done as usual...;) Which is your favorite Iwata clone airbrush?
Thank you very much for the feedback. I am working on a large screen while editing my videos. I will keep that mind next time. Unfortunately there is no brand. I bought it ten years ago and I never found it like that again. I will try Sparmax or similar quality airbrushes soon. I will share my experiences.
It's too bad this was filmed with the model a little too far from the lens, can't see what's going on. Narration would have been much better than the generic music. Especially some commentary on what you did and how you achieved and what was required on the modifications that you did. And maybe even slow the speed of the playback at crucial times, again while you're creating the modifications. Just wishful thinking.
Awesome, I came across this in my recommended and so glad I did, love the way you put the details in the corner of the screen showing the parts and the airbrushing details too. Very helpful to beginners like myself, thank you for sharing and the effort you put into the videos, it's much appreciated, Allan.
Another great build , good job mate! . I'm building the FW 190 a-3 right now and you gave me some great idea's , but mine is 1/32 scale though. Thanks for the awesome videos.
I’m sorry but my attention threshold is about 30 minutes, anything longer and I’m losing the will to live, maybe you should review your Video and cut it down, I think you’d get more views , nothing wrong with your build, it’s one of the best out there, it’s just too long.....😕😎
Sorry, but that 19 minutes and counting spent on the super detailing of the Engine, and we can’t see how good it is !, ok showing the finished job is cool, having the rest of the build in close as you go would add to your excellent building skills.....😎
Excellent kit and that Brassin set is amazing! And, yes, the landing gear is a bit weak and the instructions are a let down - something too many manufaturers drop the ball on. Another great build/video, superb attention to detail, finished model looks great!
A bit late but u isnpired me. Im going to built a diorama with this plane. Ill build it but leave the engine out of it and put it on a small table like they are repairing ir
Fantastic build as always. I have two Eduard 190s lined up but wanted to ask two questions- 1) What brand super glue are you using? I find krazy glue doesn't set well and often I'll have a few parts need to be re-glued and 2) What is the name of the olfa blades you are using? My olfa knife came with the exact blade but when I ordered replacements they didn't match. Thanks!
Thank you very much! That's the most common problem of scale modelers. Quantity is more important than quality. I use the smallest packed 3M super glues and trow them to the trash can 3 weeks later after I opened. Once you opened a super glue it lost its condition day by day. The key is always use fresh super glue. I use Olfa handle only not blades. I use cheap ($6 per 100 piece in a packet) nr 11 surgical blades for general purpose, nr 15 for carving etc.
Ounce again an outstanding build, I was wondering if you or any of your followers could tell me where to find the big sin set, I am probably not looking in the right places, any help would be appreciated
Hi, this is the set. But I recommend to buy it from a nearest online hobby store (Hannants, LuckyModel etc) It's not expensive like that www.eduard.com/store/eduard/big-sin/aircraft/1-48/fw-190a-4-advanced-1-48.html?cur=2
Congrats Rhami! Every video I realize you're using a different technique... and I'm learning with you :) looks like you don't make mistakes, just like a sniper with the iwata clone hahaha excellent job my friend, that's my favorite plane, and this is your best building until now in my opinion.
Thank you very much dear Daniel. Airbrush painting is my favorite on overall modeling. I spend sooo many times for that :) Techniques depens on material and skills so I try to show all what I know. Have a great weekend!
IMPRESSIVE work S.A.T!...Jeez, -just, WOW! I only concentrate on 1/35th armor, & aircraft are an entire differing multiverse as to painting/weathering! Been working on a 1/35th 8X10 foot Mega-Dio full time since 2007. 200K$ into it so far-(EEK!)- Normandy, France July '44 Wehrmacht/SS PanzerWerkStatCompany(s) somewhere between Falaise/Argentan work done @ a rural French gas station/wrecking-junk yard/machine shop. 400+ 1/35th resin/plastic figures, dont know how many tanks/vehicles in various states of repair.. One day/year it'll FINALLY get finished! Keep up the inspiring work! ~Be well....
Great looking build man. I do think its sad as fuck that you can spend all that money on a kit from Eduard and still have to spend all that extra on after market products. Like their kits arnt expensive enough, The money these companies charge for their kits why cant they make them good enough to not need to spend as much or more on extras than cost of the original kits?
What you do is really great and it inspires me to strive for perfection as I just started this hobby last year. The attention to detail and your attention to detail is great...
Hi buddy amazing build your fw 190 is just awesome one of the best I have seen also like your modelling tips and you tell us what products you are you using keep your videos coming mate. Cheers Gary from the 🇬🇧.
Yine harika bir çalışma. Detaylar, özen hepsi dört dörtlük. O nasıl bir motor detayıdır... Hayran oldum. Önce cep telefonunda izledim.. sonra büyük ekran tv de tekrar izledim... Bravo! Elinize sağlık.
Darn it! You video "forced" me to buy an Eduard resin engine for my Revell FW190F8. I'll try your lighter fluid and oil paint wash too. Not very happy with Tamiya panel liner. Top build by the way.
MrD53 I'm a massive fan of yours and that was another awe inspiring build but can I please ask you to keep your comments and other words of wisdom up a little longer as I scarcely have time to read them and watch what you are doing at the same time. Cheers
I built a Tri-Master FW190D9 once and it was the most challenging kit I had ever built, Definitely worth the money! I think I will get this one... I had to do all that super detail by hand as it wasn't in the kit and I couldn't find after market kits for it then back in the 90's. So had to make every pipe and wire manually. I desperately want the Tri-Master TA-152H but never found one... I loved their kits and really miss Tri-master...
The Franz Stigler 109 and B-17 "Ye Olde Pub" movie is comming out with tom hanks. I'd love to see those two! I also made this 190 you may have beat me to completion. I also didnt have the 801. Way to go! I'll stay tuned.
Thanks for guidance & inspiration, I’m about to tackle this A4 with Engine kit also. Exceptional video, some interesting techniques, He who can apply thin glue to a clear part without runs. True master. I’ll no doubt review this vid many times as a guide. Gruen background helps remove overcrowding distractions. Bravo
Good day, I wish to try some resin upgrades for an upcomming project. The water thing I've never seen used before. How do you dispose of the water filled with resin? Cheers.
Absolutely awesome! 👍 I am just beginning my research into this hobby . . . What books do you - or any subscribers that care to respond - recommend on the subject? I am particularly interested in books on airbrushing techniques, as I am confused by some of the steps. (For example: I am not sure why camouflage was painted on, then white painted over.) Thanks!
Very informative and instructional to include the Eduard diagrams as insets during the construction. The detail painting on the engine was difficult to make out which component was being painted. Thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Love your build but wow it's hard to really see even the text is to fast to read , I know you are trying to stay under a hours but maybe 2 videos would be better be more enjoyable and informative...
9B and 5B PENCILS over matt black give you a more feflective surface that reflects different colours from yellow hue to blue.Metallic paint looks too clean and flat for scale even with a wash.Different grades of pencil layered has a better range of refraction as light hits different softness of graphite.Done whole engine gearbox and suspension with it on RFM panther with int.Love the work.Your so clean and organized damn you...l
my pleasure. You really shouldnt waste your time messaging me back.Modelling and filming must be very busy. And im learning to appreciate ww1 aircraft models. As they have plently of building involved.Pukka work too.
An absolute joy to watch this build . Your attention to detail is amazing . Though I am not sure about your top side paint choice . But still an amazing build . thank you for sharing . I have kept it for reference of future builds ...
awesome build! One thing you should think about: The plane looks as if it has gone through a lot of fights. Look at all the holes in the paint and space where the paint has chipped away. But yet, the marks (=decals) are completely intact just as if the plane came fresh from the manufacturer. I have no idea how to do this, but maybe you have a way to adjust the markings to the overall appearance of the plane.
if your like me and watch this video and ship till they show you the finale product skip to 45:45 (i know ironic that it is the same number) and your welcome
Few things piss me off more than paying a premium for aftermarket parts, only to get less than stellar packaging and haphazard parts that dont look like the pictures on the sales page!
I really like the way you superimpose the instruction diagram of the piece your working on in your video corner. It makes following along easier. Very creative. Of all the others model build videos ive seen so far youre the only one who thought of that. Sets your channel apart and is the reason, along with your obvious skill that i chose to subscribe to ur channel. I only subscribe to one other model.channel.and thats to a guy who mainly builds ww1 bi planes. The reason i also go with that channel is his technique with the propellers where he demonstrates an easy method of using layers of real wood to make unbeatable props versus the others trying to color or paint plastic to simulte the real effect. Just unbeatable and its the little things like this that make such a huge diff in overall realism as you also demonstrate here as well
Wow, you really out did yourself on that one. As always fantastic build, this is one kit that is on my to-do list for one day. One thing I was curious about is how you position your camera? Tripod etc. I am planning on trying to record my Mig-3 build with a bunch of accessories, but I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of mounting my camera and recording while making sure I can still focus on the build rather than constant camera work.
I think this is the first build I have seen from you but the result is awesome. I can't say much more than the other comments attached, but you can guarantee I'll be subscribing. Look forward to seeing some more of your work.
Now we're talking! Ive been looking all over for a video like this. I don't like how the engine is given to you in one piece. Man, please consider not playing music. You'd be surprised how thankful your viewers would be and how much your subs and views will go up.
Thank you very much for the feedback but are you sure about that you would prefer to listening text in an accented English language instead of music? I received so many positive feedback about my playlist. You can also watch my videos while listening to something you want. I think this is an advantage, maybe I am wrong. But I'm going to try a video with a voice.
