That light actually seems pretty bright. I have the LEGO version, and this is at least as bright or even brighter. As for the motor noise, my LEGO version is noisy also. My motor actually stops periodically, and I've had to order a replacement motor for it as it would just stop 15 or 20 minutes after I turned it on.
