cant wait to see this thing at cars and coffee. I remember just sitting in the theater when i was a kid seeing it for the first time and my mind was just blown.
I hope you get the graphics right because I’ve never seen a replica or tribute car with correct graphics. The Hero 1 car has a lot of chrome graphic details in it that is very rarely done correctly on replica’s. I haven’t seen the whole video yet but you should get in touch with the Dutch owner of Hero 1 to send you some detailed pictures of the real graphics so they’re done properly on this build you’re doing
You do realise the hero 1 car...was Craig's, right? He doesn't need to get pics from the Dutch guy that owns it now, because he's the person that originally owned it, and was there with the car in person the whole time. Literally nobody on the planet knows how to build the car more accurately than Craig
@@dennisclark9544 Yes, I know. But unless he has detailed photos of the graphics somewhere, he should get them from the current owner. He may have built the car, but does he remember every single detail of these graphics? Most aftermarket graphics are completely wrong or cartoonish at best so you can't use those
Thank you so much Craig i could listen to your stories all day, great video please take us with you on the build and looking forward to it, as a fan of Fast and Furious and seeing it when it came out and own all DVDs up to F and F 8 thanks so much Craig for this channel keep it up and still blown away you were the starter at Race Wars :) so cool :)
@@claudiomm95993 I literally cried, not the day I sold mine, but the day the truck/trailer showed up to take it to it's new owner. Lived with a little regret ever since. Nothing compares to it. It's simply a timeless true touring car.. everything driver oriented. And boy did I tour it! I'm from iowa but have friends in boulder. I made that drive probably 10 or more times in the supra. A time in my life I'll absolutely never forget.. sold the car to a gentleman in Florida and used the money as a deposit on my first house. I've had everything but that mk4 is "the one that got away". Maybe someday when my children have grown up and moved out I'll get another. Thanks for letting me ramble. Cheers
You know it's bad when the ad gets interrupted by an ad... BTW, there is a spray paint made by "Molotow" that lays down reflective just like real chrome but it is expensive.
With regards to the black chrome look at the lexus black chrome wheels it's a 3 coat plus job and will look really good. Great choice in cars to choose
One of my favorite aspects of these original vehicles is that they’re still so relevant. Homages everywhere, 20 years later. One example is the fact that all these parts are available in Forza Horizon 4. They’re accurately modeled and almost everything is accounted for. A nitpick: it’s MARK 4, not emm-kay. The “mk” letters signify the generation, referred to as “mark.”
The Bomex front bumper is available but it's not the correct one. The one in Forza is the one Craig had on his yellow version. Sadly they also don't include discontinued wheels, otherwise we would have been able to use the correct ones. Now I always resort to the Asanti AF118 for a FNF Supra replica
Even in Grand Theft Auto Online, they have lore friendly versions of Fast and Furious cars. Rocket League has licensed Skyline, a few Chargers and the Fiero. If Rocket League added the Supra or Eclipse I'd buy it immediately lol
This video was so awesome I can’t wait for part 2! To this day it is the only movie I have ever seen 6 times in the theater. Craig please keep the great content coming
Great video, congrats very happy for you to rebuild a replica of your original Supra that launched you into the movie scene! I cant wait to see it all come together!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@NightsN2dr3ams I would just be happy with an NA manual MK4 Supra. I saw one for sale in 2018...black targa top manual with tan interior..sold for 20K on eBay :( I want one but not willing to spend 35K+ for one. My 6 gen Celica looks close enough to a Supra and I can always swap in the 3SGTE Turbo engine and basically have a FWD Supra at nearly 1000 lbs less.
@@NightsN2dr3ams Yeah, but even those are going up a lot. I though about a GT4, but heard parts can be a pain to get. Say I'm looking for a GT4 fuel tank because the original is rusted out...well good luck finding a replacement. Same with the body panels...very hard to find replacements.
It would be cool to see the cars they would use if the first Fast and Furious was just coming out today. I'd hope to see Jesse in a Mk6 or Mk7 Golf version of his Mk3 Jetta.
Let's hope the series shows all of the work being done rather than someone explain the "progress" each week. I'm most interested in the wheels. They always make or break the car.
I Really Love The Selections Of Bugatti's Ferrari's Koenigsegg's Lamborghini's McLaren's Also Finally Also The Pagani's I Like Them A Lot and More Mr. Lieberman.
