An old 1:1 car painters trick I learned years ago, any time you need to put a light color over a dark color, especially white over red, black primer first, also, silver will work, it sounds like the reverse of what you want to do, but really it works, white may not cover red, but it will cover black with no problem. So black primer first, then white or gray, then your color. On another note, I really do enjoy your videos, I like the music you use, although not something I would normally listen to, being an old headbanger from way back, I don't really want to listen to jarring rap or heavy metal whilst watching a modelling video. Your work is really amazing. And, just curious, where in this great big world are you located?, don't have to answer if you don't want to.
I finished one of these last week, be aware that the interior won’t fit in the body unless you remove the rear clips since they’re in completely the wrong place. Ignore the instructions and glue the interior floorpan to the chassis during final assembly.
@@soehncarsten not on the one I built three days ago and I checked it very carefully. I had to remove the rear clips since they were at least 6mm too far forward.
Realy nice tips regarding to the relation of paint to lower temps ! The gas prices being absurdly high in Holland makes for a bit to cold man cave.....🥶
The E-Tron is such a gorgeous car imo, Audi has really nailed their design when it comes to EV's. Red is also my favourite colour on it so this is a nice added bonus :)
@@zer0bre I'm aware, I'm saying it's one of the best looking EV's on the market imo. Especially with regards to how they handled the front with regards to still having a large grille to maintain aesthetic presence despite it not being necessary. Audi adopted their standard design philosophy for it while many other manufacturers tried something completely different and failed. The only other manufacturers that have done very good work with their EV designs currently (in terms of non-Sports/Super/Hyper/Track Cars) are Hyundai and Porsche.
Have you ever used smoothie paint additive does help the paint flow and adds insurance that you won’t have fisheyes or. Other issues! Also adds to the gloss! 🤔🫡🇺🇸 nice work!
Very nice job covering. That dark blue molded plastic was the nastiest color to try to prime & paint over back years ago.... The 2 kits that jump in my head are the MPC 67 GTO and the Monogram 1:24 69 GTX 440 6-pack molded in their "metal flake" dark blue, both from the 1980's. The paints & primers were nowhere near as good as the stuff nowadays. You made it look easy sir, keep up the excellent work & vids!
Very well done! I like how you identify the colors and tools used. Makes it easier to find them online and IF available in the U.S. Question on the dirt specks on the roof: When first noticed, why did you choose not to use a 1-3k grit sandpaper to remove the specks, and repaint?
That would create more dust on the rest of the model and require a re mask. Too much work, too little time, does not guarentee it would not happen again. Basically, i'm lazy and wanted it painted XD. It does not always have to be perfect for me.

I don't understand why they designed this as a snap together kit. Not many, if any kids would choose to build this car, but an adult surely would. This should have been designed as a full kit by Revell Germany with opening hood and engine, it deserves that
Being an electric car, the level of detail on the underside is minimal anyway, and it lacks an "engine". I've just finished this kit myself and despite the snap fit nature, I think it's perfectly acceptable
I am building a monogram ford F1 right now. flimsy connections and poor fitting cause glue to spill. I have several ugly glue stains in many places, and the paint was damaged at several spots. I wish it was a snap together kit.
