This is not a design that speaks to me personally, but the sheer amount of work, the attention to detail and the ingenuity of the process are staggering. Great job ❤

That design doesn’t speak to anyone. Taste is not subjective. There’s mathematically definable beauty - certain proportions etc - and sawyer isn’t aware of those things so he he works really hard to make stuff that is not objectively beautiful.

Your work is beyond next level. It is what craftsmanship is all about. People (like me) tried there entire career to achieve this. I can make a beautiful kitchen blindfolded, but to create a piece of art with perfect “flow” I cannot do. So watching a young artist like you is not only refreshing for this 64 year old man but mesmerizing. Please don’t ever change your style of content. It is beautiful and this old guy loves it. You are blessed with talent beyond belief.

Thank god for a true craftsman on RU-vid. Your not trying to peddle me your Temu affiliate link or doing Tik Tok trends like some others. Some of these “woodworking” RU-vid channels do everything besides woodwork and couldn’t make a cutting board without pocket holes and some wood filler. So thank you! This piece is beautiful, some of the best craftsmanship I’ve ever seen.

I remember looking for this channel a couple months ago thinking I hadn’t seen any videos in a while. Then I thought “I hope he hasn’t stopped making content”. Little did I know he was spending that time working on an absolute masterpiece! The wait was 100% worth it!

I've been woodworking for 6 years now and I'm stuck in that awkward stage between knowing the fundamentals and wanting to level up but without any inspiration. This is the perfect content for me. I really appreciate how you show your techniques as well as your jigs, admittedly I am terrible about taking the time to design the jigs I need to make my work more efficient. I finally have a direction to work toward and for that I will happily subscribe. This is the kind of content that is rare on yt

I am so happy for you and your continued growth and success. Without a doubt you are one of the more inspirational woodworkers out here. I love the idea of your course! As I am pushing closer to my 6th decade of life, I am still working at finding my own style. For myself, I will do what makes me happy, and hope to bring that to customers whether it be a "pig board" for a super sweet lady who needed a replacement, or the tea box presented to an aunt today for her 80th birthday. Even the sadness of making urns for my sisters ashes so that her children and our mother could all have part of her with them, it brought great joy to my sister as she neared her end with us. I long to find my "niche", and that journey may never end (I hope). Watching you work, your passion... it is what makes youtube worthwhile for me.

The amount of wood is overwhelming!, too many things going on,it never ends, ideas piled one on top of the other, brake some lines ,use metal,Brass is a good candidate, the end tambor could be substitued for something more aery, some gravity defiant feture, incorporate carbon fiber,700 hours? ,I dont know how much you sold that piece for but at 20k it is under $30 an hour,I hope was a lot more than that,Cheers from Toronto Canada!

I've enjoyed each episode of this build. Tons of detail and I enjoy you sharing your thought process on the build vs the standard RU-vid narration of "I cut, I mortise with domino, I glue, I table" Really cool to see how your brain works to solve problems and what inspires you. I'm gonna add your course into my budget for 2024. Great work!

The most beautiful designs and not only in furniture are actually very simple. Your design is super overcooked frankenstein veneers glued together with weird barrel on right. Basic concept is very good though. Lose that weird barrel, Don.t overdone top but leave it as solid walnut piece to create nice contrast to sides and you have jaw dropping design made with taste 😊
