You are turning into one of my favorite YT woodworkers. Please consider telling your story of how you came to the craft, how you trained, who influenced you, etc. I think many of us who watched you regularly would like that insight if you're willing to share it.

Very nice. Different from the usual blanket chests. I have a blanket chest but it is made of walnut with woodland scenes hand carved into the tops and sides and it is lined with cedar. I keep things like my wedding dress and antique linens and wools in it.

Hi. It took me a while to get to this video. First... Really awesome. I love the commentary. I love the running thought on how can you improve what has already been done a thousand times. Nice design! We had to take down some ash trees, so ash will be my favorite wood for a long time. It's nice to see that someone who knows what they're doing can plane ash - my skill level isn't there yet.

Amazing work as usual! As to your question on the legs, overall I think they're great. A part of me wishes the top of them were a little more streamlined into the body of the box vs having the 2-3?" horizontal top. Awesome work!

Ash is so beautiful. This project is beautiful too. This box reminds me of a fancier modern version of a sea chest I saw in a recent woodworking magazine . Fall 2021 Woodworkers Journal, I think.
