Great vid, brother. Bought this kit yesterday at Lowe's. Looking forward to assembling this weekend, just subscribed!

Great video, you could also make your own / longer bench with those kits.

Is it cheaper to buy parts individually?

This is awesome! I could see making the pegboard panel taller and adding a shelf above it!

Great video. I've been using those for the last 20+ years or so and have built at least 12 work benches (many at 8ft) and probaby 8 -10 shelving units. I even used them to build a table for my CNC.

A great video. I've been using Simpson Strong-Tie parts for over a decade. I agree with everything you said in your instructions, right down to the "oops" and especially the use of clamps to help things along. In my case I bought the parts individually at Home Depot. I assembled lots of shelves and platforms for my photo studio but also to build a couple of dog houses and other things. The braces can be pretty versatile once you get the hang of it and as you showed the results are rock solid so long as you take your time to get the job done right. Again, this was a great tutorial video, as usual.

I would of modified the top part so there is a lip on the top countertop for clamping down the work pieces.

I have two older kits I bought of Facebook Marketplace, there's no QR code but there is a website address which unfortunately is no longer available. But it does have all the screws needed, even to secure the plywood sheets, so no need to buy extra. Also as you mentioned there's no instructions so your video is most welcome 👍👍

You should make a part two to this video where you show off some upgrades that you would make to this workbench. Maybe you could add a shelf above the workbench and a light underneath the shelf.

Another great build. 👍🏾 Kreg Rip Cut and Cross Cut jigs (no table saw yet) and I still can’t seem to cut completely square. Improving with each project though. Thanks for the suggestions in your Amazon Affiliate page, will definitely pick up a few items, especially the lighting.

Thank you very much. When cutting plywood with a circular saw, I found the best way to keep a straight edge is to use a 4-ft level that is clamped down on both ends. The one I have is not perfect but does much better than other stuff I've used. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the honest breakdown on this product. Good job. Have you ever made a convertible bench/ table/picnic table build? And do you ever build projects using only metal?
@SpecificLove7
@SpecificLove7 10 месяцев назад
A few years ago I built a bench that turned into a picnic table. Most of the time we just leave it as a picnic table. As for metal only, I used to work on cars as a hobby, but nothing like that lately. Wood is a lot more accessible for most people, so I try to stick with that in my videos.

Kind of BS they can’t be bothered to include instructions, correct info on the box, and a few extra screws. I would give them a dime.

As always, great video. 👍 on the video, info, time, effort, ect .... 👎 to Simpsons for the misleading information. It may not be life changing info to most, but as you stated, if you're new to the craft, a teen without guidance, no experience with tools, ect., I can see how that would would be very disappointing & discouraging! 👏 Thank you for the build video rather than infomercials like most others YT'rs nowadays!

Great video. I have 2 2x6x8 sitting around in my garage taking up space and would like to know if I could use them somewhere on this kit?

Looks like a very good product for a beginner. However, there are so many awesome videos on your channel, and on RU-vid that the money spent on the kit could be better spent on a tool.

It’s not a good product. The brackets look solid, but literally everything else about it is very subpar. This is far from rocket science but they still manage to screw it up in many ways.
@shickman1561

Do you even need the kit? Can you just screw each piece together without brackets?

Sort of. I did another video without using a kit if you are interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TRp4FaT24BA.html

So the box lies and the instructions are wrong. Sounds like a crap product.
@johndoe6032

Regarding your comment about the extra screws not costing anything, this is common flawed thinking. If you originally paid for them, they did cost you. Not saying this to be mean, just a matter of fact. I just hear that cost much in DIY videos and it’s rarely true. People should always consider off of their costs, even time.
