Hi Ron you are doing well with your project next time you use your sandpaper wet it out with a small bit of 3in1 or other very light machine oil it will work much better for you

Hi Ron, interesting video, nice to see a complete engine build step by step, have a small "Tich" Loco, that I will be rebuilding, bought it off Ebay roughly three quarters built, I notice you have the same milling machine as mine, seems that a lot of people use these and get excellent results, unfortunately mine is a bit crispy now as I had a fire in the garage that destroyed everything, garage has been rebuilt and slowly getting everything back together, will be doing a video of the rebuild over time, what camera do you use, Regards Doc Cox.

your mini mill is very quiet! mine screams and I hate to use it if I don't have to. did you do a belt drive conversion?

Amigo a bit of advice, clean your mill table before you set up for the next cut.

Eeww I cringed when you put those 123 blocks down on that pile of chips.

If the bottom isn’t rocking on the surface plate, I wouldn’t even touch it. You just milled the top with the bottom clamped to the table. If those two surfaces aren’t parallel there is something wrong with your machine.

WTF!!! when you are placing a part on the mill table, CLEAN THE TABLE and 1-2-3 plates before clamping it down!!!

A word of warning. Don't check for smoothness of the piece after machining by rubbing it with your finger. The edges will be as sharp as a great white's teeth and just as nasty.
