Just a tip (although the grommets and maneuverability is great) u can drill a tiny hole and unwire the plug to feed the cable through, then wire it back up once you've fed it through 😎

It's insane... The whole workshop is WAY BIGGER than my whole flat. Everything seems out of anyone's league... 99% of people would also this level of DIY if they had these kind of tools handy... But the capabilities of people around me, myself included (space wise, and tools wise) are much more modest... Anyway, amazing piece of work, I'm getting many ideas from it to build my own variation for a still tighter space... Congrats!

if you're just making music for fun then I wouldn't worry about it. But if you're doing it professionally yeah, listening space needs to be at the 30 percent line, equi-distant from the left/right walls.

Very nice build :) But putting the speakers in a corner in an untreated room is not the most optimal thing for music. You will have an unbalanced stereo field (early reflections arrive faster from the corner speaker) plus having a speaker in the corner will emphasize the bass frequencies in a unnatural way (boomy/lack of clarity), and lack of acoustic treatment will make the room frequency response uneven due to various filtering effects a non-symmetric placement causes. Optimally you would have the speakers 38 % from the wall you face towards the opposing wall, in the middle of the room - meaning the left speaker and right speaker are equally far away from their side of the wall. And the room itself should be a perfectly symmetric, but non-rectangular cube. You can search for "optimal room sayers" for some example layouts :)
