Great quick video that shows everything you want/need to see and nothing you don’t. I built a drawer system for the back of my SUV so I don’t have the room but your video gave me the idea to do this for a seldom used hollow door in my home. I would then as others have commented fabricate some sort of cover in the event someone actually opened the door. Thank you for the idea!

Going with your idea, if you had more auto carpet over your hide site, it could have Velcro tabs holding it in place from top to bottom, it would be completely hidden from site but easily accessible once the seats were flipped out of the way, just a thought an would like your thoughts on this, an BTw, love your idea, thx for the vid.

Wow there are alot of keyboard commando internet lawyers here. Get over yourselves, he showed you a way to make an awesome storage place using unused space. And for all of you crying about laws for concealed firearms, these laws state the differences between legally transported and concealed. And in nearly every state, legally transported means unloaded and secured in a container that is made for a firearm. Now this varies slightly state to state, some need a lock, some a lid, some need to be made by a manufacturing company. But what they all agree on is that the definition of concealed is in reach to be used immediately, loaded or the ability to easily load. Which is why some states you can have your firearm in your glove box, but require ammo in the trunk. Now get over your selves and thank the man for showing us how to make something awesome in a really easy way. Awesome work, i am going to go watch a few more of your videos.

Amazing how creative people are

I like this. Behind the seat of my pick up truck, is a homemade steel gun safe.( I weld) If I ever sell the truck, it will have to remain there. It is NOT coming out without the use of an air chisel. But next time I will make a "secret compartment" plus steel. If the thieves do not know it's there, they won't find it until the vehicle gets to the chop shop. Great idea.

Looks very nice and also good production quality. If I was going to do something like this I'd probably use the door (for structure) but actually cut out a spot for some Kaizen foam and use that foam to hold the gear. Kaizen foam is closed sell so it wouldn't hold moisture up against the guns like the carpet would and it's also way easier than the router/foam/carpet/cut part. You could cut a generic square out and attach the foam to the door with velcro and make removable insert blocks if you wanted to change it up later vs adhesive foam. Keep up the good work.

I just picked up a old junker hollowcore. Heading to the garage now. Thank you sir for that great idea. I'm gonna use scrap outdoor carpet and the 3m adhesive. This project only cost me about $25 (damn that California sales tax).
