The addition of the Deforestation and "reforestation" Wood versions were absolutely hilarious riffs on the water montage that had me laughing out loud when they showed up.
Dude I thought I was watching an add at the end. Then it just cut back and I was like oh shit how long was I just watching water? Lol P.S. I've smoked a bit of weed.
Tom, some tips. 1. As long as buildings that require power are touching each other you dont need to make new junctions for them, so you can save on logs and space by clumping all them together. 2. You can make beavers work longer hours in the top right corner of the screen. It looks like you already did that. 3. Double houses are better than the Triple Houses. They are more cost effective
"That's what grandmama always used to say" is one of my favorite lines of Tom's. Like it's a normalish line if anyone else used it, but the places Tom uses it is so funny.
He said he would be getting guest editors from other yogs, so I am assuming that this is one of those, I kinda wish that Tom told us who the guest editor was; but I am sure that Tom will do a channel update and announce Josh is coming back before he actually does any videos.
That small amount of farmland Tom missed from clearing on the South side of the river is taunting me… Lets see how many episodes it takes before he realises!
2:33-3:04 & 6:52-7:20 Why I love that the Yogscast uses Epidemic Sound in thirty seconds. Also, as a music nerd and also a TSFH lover, I am always happy to watch/hear a random montage set to good music. But also in general the musical cues to the video, someone behind the scenes is rather smart! Props random guest editor!
I was not expecting the return of Timberborn! It's crazy that it just showed up on the channel for the first time back in February. It seems to far away. This was absolutely the refreshingly Angory experience today needed - especially with so many classic edits: 🌊🌲
about a month ago or whenever the full version came out I got ads for timberborn on youtube.. It was kinda funny to see this game pop up out of nowhere and remembering tom playing the demo
Superpharmacy is so fantastic. Back when Tom was first streaming, I had him name a little agricultural island "Super Farm at Sea" in honor of it during one of the games he played. Here's to hoping that his move goes well, and his Internet allows for those streams to start up again as they're a different but still very fun time.
And the lovely deforestation montage as well! I’ve accidentally spoiled for myself that there may be a “reforestation” montage, so I’ll be on the lookout for that as well
Curse you Tom. I told myself i wouldn't allow myself to dream again but after the 4th vid on the water hype train i found myself screaming with joy more with each transition.
Love watching this game. I'm horrifically bad at society survival games myself but it's always fun to watch people play them. Looking forward to a long and healthy series!
"You don't want downstream water" _places pump downstream_ Edit: No, wait, this map feels weirdly like the opposite of the one I played just a few days ago...
The water montage continues to live!! YESSSSS!! Legit one of the best memes on this channel. And now a wood montage?! Absolutely hysterical! LOL Editing is too tier! Love this game too! Kudos to Tom and whoever edited this!
Good decision with your tree farm, a quarter each of the brich and pine will give you mroe constant wood and every time the half a farm of maple come through ~boom~ wood for days. I ended up with a farm 24 rows across and I added a row of Maple every day, so they'd all be constantly maturing and replanted, was super satisfying
The water meme came up this video and it really struck me that, huh, that came from the original city skylines video. And therefore that I've literally been watching Tom's channel since it's inception. Odd to think.
When youtube gives me an add for psychadelic shrooms easily attainable via online order and im watching a beaver town getting built. I feel those shrooms would make this more epic
I'm pretty certain that is started out in Cities Skylines, and that's at least where it became best known, along with most of his memorable edits. There's a small possibility that he might've used a couple of the now-legendary edits before that in Planet Coaster though.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 687 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fantastic to see Tom return to Timberborn, I love this game and was hoping (after Tom introduced me via the demo) Tom would come back :D Now now, I ADORE Water Clip, love it, but now we have Wood Clip too AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH It's funny Tom mentions Cloning Vats as that is how the Iron Teeth make babies (in a way) Well just to let Tom know, paths do extend "Town Zone", but not forever. Ok, I am not going to give alot of tips as I want Tom to discover this game on his own, but I will say that Beavers can swim, so if you put stairs down into the water and place a path under the water the Beavers will use it, so no need to bridge across :D
Such fantastic nostalgia from all directions with this vid. Hope you've been having a spectacular week!! Unfortunately I'm not sure about the music. I know that Tom is back to pulling from his preferred library for some of the background tunes though. There have been discussions around particular tunes in the comments sections, at least a few different times in the past. Josh has told us some of the names, and been coy with others. I don't recall which series it was, but maybe one of the times was with the original Subnautica series. I also can't recall which particular license-free library was used, and I've been trying to think of it ever since someone asked about the calm piano tunes he used in the Superchill video.
