This episode is about fabricating a subframe which is a core part of the camper.
It's mounted to the factory holes by using factory bolts. Between the subframe and truck frame, I used rubber bushings from the Jeep cabin.

I sure hope you'll have that aluminum frame welded. Those cute little brackets and tiny blind rivets won't do the trick. Good luck!

They did it already and continue doing it. Two years travelling/offroading.

@@realsystemrobot you haven't had any issues with strength of subframe? I like how this style is very DIY friendly. Just curious how it holds up over time. Any input?

@@MichaelBone_ check my previous videos from offroad trails, it was a hard test for the frame and camper in general. I think it's holding up fine. I used thick Al tubes and big steel rivets.

@@MichaelBone_ thank you for that. It's the only reward I have :) the feedback is always appreciated. Keep in touch, I have tons of videos for this project and the next project right after that.

Was worrying about bending and fatigue on that AL floor frame assembly but it sounds like it's holding up?

Why not weld it?

Welding is making metal weak. Rivets are better.
