yes please, this is such perfect timing for me. just hit maps on my first non guide character and struggling so decided to go again on a new character and this will all be helpful. cant wait to see how different a real build is compared to my playthrough using scraps from the kitchen sink.

the game is completely free to play, there isnt much reason not to at least try it, personally I didnt spend money on the game until I hit around the 50-100 hr mark
Give it a try and if it hooks you wait for a stash tab sale weekend and alteast get a map, currency and atleast 1 premium tab or a premium quad and you should be golden.
I just picked this game up for the first time a couple of days ago and your tips have helped a ton to progress. I have been playing at a slow pace just enjoying what the game and campaign has to offer. I've completed almost every sidequest and just finished act 4 and I'm having a blast. I'm already excited to play another character and I haven't even reached "end game"

Aight, came here after a video told me and learned something massive an hour in. The build guides tend to assume you know a certain amount coming in. I learned, that I don't have to level LS from 1 after I get it in act 3 is it? Meaning that when I switch over, I don't start over. Learning gems level on your off hand has saved me a bunch of mental gymnastics so I give this tutorial a 10/10. You have saved me.

I know the vid would be way longer but would have liked to see the full 2nd half of acts to follow along. Would love extra help with the endgame. I'm on console so I can't easily use pob or awakened trade. I did just drop my first divine randomly in an unjuiced act 5, and promptly lost my shit.

i have multiple level 90 characters in poe, my highest being level 95. ive never used path of building, im going to try it, + i havent played poe in 2+ years, im coming back for the league. getting a refresher from you lol! :)
I have tried playing this game since Launch (seriously, still have Razer footprint boots). Over 300 hours put into game (I used to come in, try, hit a wall around level 50 and quit). Kind of weird you have to earn a PhD to enjoy this game but I think it's worth it. Gonna watch the entire thing
All basically to save time skip most of the side quest unless they give you a skill point and it’s faster to exit to character screen the. Use a portal
1:40:59 This has been changed, you now need to do this quest, it provides a skill point. killing all bandits now only provides one skill point making your points the same but, this quest is now needed.
Very relatable. The truth for better or worse is, when we look at players that always generate tons of money and crazy builds league after league, it becomes about knowing the niche items' value. Everyone knows a Divine Orb is big. But those who can discern which rare items are one or two crafts away from 1000x their current value are those who can rise. Personally, I just enjoy the journey of each league getting closer to that level of understanding. When it becomes too much, take a break, come back next league, but always try to do better than last time 😊
I was having so much fun then in act 9 (necropolis) my first league i kept getting one shot over and over again i gave up. I’m not opposed to difficult content but that was so unfun im hoping poe2 is better I was following a build guide
i think alot of people are confused at the beginning wether or not this is a guide to make your own build. When he says "plan out" your passive tree, this does Not mean you plan out your own build. This is very important
You talk to quickly and swap gems/items to quickly ;) sometimes hard to understand to a newbie player whats going on. I tried to follow but sadly starting from end of Act 4 maps keeps crashing and even when using some ways around it using portal(teleporting back to city and back to the map) issue still persists later in Act 5, so I gave up as currently game seems to be broken after recent update :(
Oh my god, been playing poe off my own brain on my maurader and I’m level 35, Ibe managed to make my way over to dexterity and intelligence already on the skill tree, for sure gonna make a new character😂 also want to add I managed to get the vaal smite gem really early and seemed pretty strong so built around that for my armour etc and support gems but my skill tree is beyond fixable hahahaha
I’ve been playing for 2 days and this has filled in so many holes, thanks! Question: so there is no point in running duel wield unless an ability which needs it? I ask because I’m playing a shadow and daggers seem ass.
correct - very few skills ACTUALLY utilize dual wielding efficiently (namely, the skill Dual Strike.) you are much better off having a single good 1H weapon + a shield for more defense
YO Woolie i hope you see this but I've been trying to follow your video as closely as I can and do the same build but the problem is I don't have the POB so its really hard to know what you do sometimes I'm pretty new to the game and correct me if I'm blind but there is no POB in the description or anywhere but I watched the video and you said there would be one so I'm wondering do you have the POB for the build I'm too deep in and all the other splitting steel builds are completely diffrent especially the skill tree part thank you in advance if you are reading this
Really wanted to start getting invested this league but my gaming laptop has fallen too far 😔Even running on lower graphics/fps the game just freezes so much for me. Going to be upgrading my old desktop with a 40 series super so hopefully I can fully get into the game then 👍
I'd like to know more end-game stuff, i get hard stuck beyond tier 16 maps, once i try to push beyond that i find that i just get crushed by the special bosses like minotaur. i have no clue how you are meant to progress gear-wise
@@Woolie Yeah I wasn't sure. I was able to select the banner for Necropolis while keeping Ruthless unchecked to start my first play through. I asked global chat, and according to them, Solo Self Found only becomes available after Act 3.
@3:00:00,, 8m having a real difficult time unlocking modifiers. Many 9f them are undiscovered. Also, I haven't encountered a beast to capture since like act 2. So my question is,, how can I unlock those modifiers in the bench?
there are recipes scattered across the various zones during the campaign - hover over a locked modifier (in grey, below your available mods) to see its location. otherwise, you'll start running into a ton of options once you reach Jun in Act 9 and begin unveiling equipment from her mechanic (Betrayal)
I played 25h I liked the complexity but still only pressed 1! Button the whole time 😅 Then i stopped because it was boring for me to just pimp 1 spell I was Inquisitor i think. Should i give it another chance?
My god POE devs were like how the fuck can we possibly make it so you have to have a Harvard degree to get into our game. Good god the game looks incredible but wow they went hard on the systems.
Everything about PoE is fine untill you reach maps or other endgame content. If PoE was only endgame was killing Kitava and you had completed the game 100% totally perfect. But problem is that PoE starts when you kill Kitava, and then you just suddenly hit the wall of build guides, where you need to go on Trade sites and buy items, you look at the prices and think, wait a minute, how in heaven should i be able to buy this chest for 50 chaos, and i have only found 3 after 10 hours playing. Everything you see is crap items dropping, so you are forced to buy currency, and buy the items you need, at that point you can choose to buy more currency to reach your goal or play for 500 hours to never find the gear you need, but be lucky to maybe find some currency to sell and buy the items you need.
I remembered starting the game and "following" a specter build. I was in maps with 1.7k hp, -90% total elemental res, and Z dps. "Uniques are rarer than rare, they must be better." I tried to get as much +max Zombie and skeletons. Also had SRS, all 2 link or even miss-linked.
kinda hope POE2 is gonna be different and more approachable because this is just ridiculous. impossible to get into as a beginner if you're not a streamer, a millionaire or 14. aka, have all the time in the world on your hands. fact that you literally cannot play this game without following 4 million guides, installing 7 million tools and basically investing a phd into it is crazy. and it still has so many people who play despite of it. no idea why bc how is this even fun. i guess it is after you have 2000 hours in it. like if I wanted to invest such an incredible amount of time into learning something, I would rather learn programming or something like that and actually make money at some point. I like putting hundreds of hours into games but not like this. I guess this just ain't for me.
Agreed so much, I really wanted to try it, thanks to Woolie and my friends, but then I played it and I get so bored, every time. I just don't understand this "grind just for grind" thing.. I don't mind grinding in Terraria, because the game has it's end, and poe seems like everlasting grind, not pay to win thank god (it's highly questionable tho considering people's endgame reviews), but it's just non-stopping clicks to kill for loot.. maaaaybe if I was younger.. But to play this as a grown man - bruh And some people even manage to skip dialogues and stuff. Literally in a game, where listening some tiny pieces of lore is the only time when you can chill from this circle of grind. Plus it's the only thing that kept my attention to the game. And, imho, the lore is kinda below average too.
@@Woolie ah right, that is a very good reason. easier to dodge stuff if you have a slower reaction time. Also good for on hit since the area is bigger than flamedash

@@Woolie yea I found the strict and non strict loot filter. I could not find the option for attacking while moving or standing still one that you mentioned. Thanks for the reply tho and the guide has been helping tremendously 🙏😎
