@@AndreKlebleyev My GenX is tune the same way, but I wouldn't dial it out, since the 106 inch wheelbase means I can plant the accelerator for technical part and ignore the transitions (that'll send the rear drive off the track). Result is too much speed, since you treated that section as a straight away, which means I have to do a quick right/left with the steering and stab the brake to initiate a slight drift or loose all my speed.
If K-Swap Ben reads this, you know how you put the black vinyl over the 'grill' area to make it look less aggressive? Maybe more around the intercooler hole could make it look better. Thoughts?
@@goosebee for sure! It's a great example of function over form. It's (imo) fairly unattractive with all that aero and wing but it's needed so I can forgive how odd it looks
No matter what mood I'm in, watching these track days gets me all hyped up, great production, great cars, great driving, what a day! Jimmy was a fun addition too, lightening the stresses of the competition, but also pushing people to go faster! Nice.
Really enjoyed the new style format to the gridlife videos with the interview style. Gives good insight to what happens behind the scenes as well as how the competitors feel about the BEN's. Paints the full story for us viewers.
Congrats Civic Ben! Nice job Evo Ben! My 1st (and only) GRIDLIFE in '19 at Mid-Ohio I got 10th in Street but I learned quick that to be at the top you need the right car/mods/setup to go along with solid driving. I've retired from TA so I love watching you guys build the cars up the right way as you progress as drivers!
@@ali_nfb32 nah i think from what the news said its was a transport driver who was taking a pilot to their hotel... unless i was reading a old report aha. but i know we're definitely in a lockdown again for two weeks
This channel year over year proves to be one in a million. One of the best channels on RU-vid for years now and it seems it's getting only stronger. Great job lads, your work is much appreciated!
Every time I watch a Gears and Gasoline video I fall in love with cars even more. You guys are just awesome. And those cars are absolutely beautiful. Keep up the awesome work G&G
Well guys I wasn’t sure I could enjoy your videos much more but this one proved you’re the best channel I know! So hyped to see how the rest of the season goes and you’ve found another loyal fan for life!
Ben great job with the civic first place that's phenomenal Ben you got this you in the Evo will make podium next time. You guys have come along way thanks for taking us on your journey 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
ive been following you for a while now and i absolutely love your channel, so much variety and each video has the best quality anyone could ask. it has been a journey and im loving it
I'm currently building a car, 65' mustang to be exact. I'm not building it to be a track car but it does have track oriented suspension for the canyons. May need to take it to fontana speedway and do one of those autox events. These videos are truly great. Keep up the great work.
I hope that you two keep producing videos for a while. I had your last video with you two together and my s/o sat down and watched the whole thing with me and at the end she looked over and said, “ Wow, I didn’t realize there were car youtubers that make it look cool, and not all ‘bro bro in your face’ type videos.” Keep up the amazing, interesting, and better than TV type series.
It's fun to see these cars on track, there's a few gridlife cars that attended some autocross events local to me. Mainly that #87 BMW M3, a yellow Evo, and an S2K from what I recall.
Usually when I see one of my subscribed RU-vid channels have uploaded a video longer than 20 mins, I either don't bother watching it, or I use the 10 second fast forward function a lot. With these lads, I always watch the full video without skipping. 👍
Awesome stuff guys! Every video you make the production quality is just through the roof and fun to follow the journey of you building, developing and then racing the cars. I time attack an Evo 7 in the UK have vids on my channel- am still in the infancy of the build but is coming along! :D
I get so fired up every time I see that you posted a new video. The quality of your content is amazing dot also that bums me out that the intake in the headlight was custom because I have been looking to get one for my EK.
Literally the best video I've seen from you guys yet, and that's saying something!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this, the production was top notch, action was great, and you guys and the other fellas there are a hoot. Keep it up!!!
I will recommend quick jacks for the track. I don't know if you have them or not, but they are a life savior at tracks and they are great in the garage.
For the turbocharged cars, we've put electric water pumps like the davies pump and it really made a huge difference in temps. We're in the Philippines and I run a 07 subaru sti so its hot all the time. We had water temps at 203F with the mechanical pump and brought it down to 193F all day long. I hope this helps.
Love It Love It, Man the luck of that side road when the brakes gave out it's insane, Angels looking out for you. Again great direction great filming and orchestration everything A1 & Improvements.
Think I found my favorite sport in cars, time attack never got my attention but I finally watched a video on it (this one) and I can safely say it might be my thing
Guys, guys! You should post your best laps here. No music. Na chatting. Pure car sounds. Maybe a little commentary. Little editing. That's easy content. We love those kind of videos.
I cannot wait I haven't even like got 20 seconds into the video and I want to see the Civic battle the Evo it is been a long freaking of Journey but I want to see this this is epic
