I get the distinct impression, based on watching many videos, that the Bulgarian Air Charter MD-80 crews have a LOT of fun flying this aircraft. You can see this by the way in which they operate it!
Hello, my dad works on Sofia Airport for God knows how long and he recently flew with Bulgaria Charter several times for vacations and he indeed said they are really having great fun with the MDs. Also a note on two of his flights the crew was very very young, so their aggressive style might be given to their age. He pointed out that the co pilot on one of the flights was at best 26 years old. "Not yet having a mustache" as he said. I never personally got on MD-80 but my dad said this is his favorite plane to fly on, next to 777, which says alot since he flew on pretty much everything except 747 and A350.
