People forgot what Charles did to Justin. Max has better boxing and similar, if not more power, with better foot work. I see Max TKOing Justin in the second or third. Max is just entering his prime and has cardio for days. Max just needs to avoid Justin’s initial flurry, and set up the counter hook, and it’s over. BMF and title shot incoming.

@@goyasmind that's what I keep thinking Max's footwork, volume and boxing will cause Gaethje all sorts of problems. He does have to avoid the leg kicks which means fighting in a more Muay Thai stance like he did in the 3rd Volk fight. This could be fight of the year/decade

@Makula-px8fru gotta remember max just turned 32. Knocked out tkz out cold last fight. Ofcourse gaethje is not tkz but this should be max prime. Max can win by volume and good defense. Only thing gaethje has is power over him. And leg kicks but max can avoid leg kicks like Charles. Max has a better chin, volume, stamina.

As much as I love Max and I pay to see every one of his fights I have a hard time putting money against Gaethje when he fights someone who is a striker 99% of the time. Max doesn't check leg kicks and he eats leg kicks and that is a bad mix when Gaethje is the one throwing the kicks. Max and Gaethje are my 2 favorite fighters and I'd be just as happy to see Max get the win as I am to see Gaethje win. I just hope Max doesn't end up like Ferguson the way the Gaethje fight instantly changed him as a fighter into a heavy bag.

People are too focused on the weight class being an issue for Max. Y’all are forgetting he dismantled Kattar, whose fight night weight is pretty much the same as Gaethjes. Now max is a bigger too, more power, less drained. Gonna be an interesting one

The weight doesn't matter here. It's not going to be a wrestling style fight, where you'd be concerned with one guy holding the other guy down. Both guys have power. Max throws a lot of volume, increasing as the fight continues. Max has to worry about Gaethje doing something sneaky because I bet he has some tricks up his sleeve.

Damn that strength and conditioning paid off, max was a whole other athlete and fighter in there. I think that was what allowed him to overpower Justin when he needed to.
