Had one for 12,5 years and was my very best friend. Beautiful dog, very kind to children and other dogs. A bull terrier does not sit beside you on the couch but sits on you... 😂. So much love from this breed. Rip my dear friend 😉

I have a bull terrier, it's 11. He's really nice and sweet! He loves people and he has a black spot on his eye. He's used to run around the house all day but now he just sleeps... I've had him my entire life and I love him so much!

Just make sure they have good bloodlines. My Loki was only 8 when he died of kidney failure. My landshark loved everyone and is literally the reason I am alive today (long story). After almost 18 months I am finally ready to get another dog and I cant imagine owning any other breed. They have so much personality you can almost tell exactly what they're thinking

This is the most awesome dog breed in the whole world. Through my lifetime l have had several of them. Since my childhood. I am married now and I cannot wait to get my next one. I will never love another breed as much!

I use to work next to a pet store, and one of the worker always brought along his B.T.. I had alot of fun playing with that dog during my breaks. It use to know my lunch break and would always wait for me by the entrance lol (made a habit of giving him bits of food during lunch).

I have two Bullies great dogs. Train them well and you will have the perfect family pet. Excellent with children.

Love this breed. I had a male all white boy 7 years ago. I finally got another one all white and a girl her name is rouge. Best breed ever aside from the apbt. I guess I just love terriers in general but the bull terrier is so affectionate, funny, quirky, and super smart. I will agree that the most important thing is socializing your bull terrier.

The Bull terrier - the true bulldog-and-terrier dog. From another informative Dogumentary TV video with Richard F. Stratton, it would seem that some folks believe that the history of Bull terriers sometimes gets mixed up, or shared, with the American Pit bulldog's history. While some folks say that the American Pit bulldog is a mix of bulldog and terrier, Mr. Stratton believes that the American Pit bulldog is the original bulldog, while the Bull terrier is a product of bulldog and terrier blood. I've heard it said that blood from other breeds such as Dalmatian, Spanish pointer, Whippet, Borzoi, and Rough collie were put into the Bull terrier later on, but I'm not exactly sure. I reckon that would explain the change in appearance from looking more like a Pit bulldog or Staffordshrie Bull to how it looks now.

Having owned, trained and loved many BT's I'd firstly recommend that anyone planning to own one should be an experienced dog owner - The Bull Terrier is not for those who lack a spine - a good BT owner needs to be firm, needs to be the Alpha and must create both structure and boundaries for his dog. And please remember that these are not 'tough' dogs that are suited to wankers with small dicks, they are actually total lap dogs that love living indoors, enjoy sleeping under a blanket and really have a need to be a true member of your family.

Had an English bull terrier and Chihuahua mix best dog I ever had, she was used for children that had autism and used at a senior facility as a therapy dog, best thing about her was she was willing to try anything even if I knew it was soething she didnt want to do. I could still teach her new tricks when she was 7 years old. I had her for 13 years until she became blind and had develope heart problems. I tried to save her, but I only had 2 weeks with her until she passed away in her sleep. I wish people would breed these dogs more often.

Had my Bull terrier for 8 years now and one thing everyone needs to do with the Bull terrier is make sure you socialize the dog. Can't stress it enough. Some not all can be very animal aggressive.

My bull terrier has proven to be an amazing dog! He is super smart, very easy to train, loves the family. He is super well behaved as long as I buy him bones and take him on walks. Warning ⚠️ these dogs have a lot of energy and have the tendency to knock everything down when they are excited. Perfect bowling balls. I’ve owned Dobermans my whole life, after loosing my son I couldn’t buy another, so my wife surprised me with cooper the bull terrier! He has honestly won my heart and is perhaps the most loving dog I have ever owned. They need a lot of love constant attention and of course very expensive food because cooper has sensitive skin. Indoor only!!!!!!!

My uncle has an all white bull terrior, shes deaf. Im surprised its so common. But she is amazing with people, shes well trained(considering her deafness) , and ive never seen a dog so built. Shes more muscular than any of the dogs in this video.

What I like about the English Bull Terrier is their characteristic football shaped head along with their small deeply set pig like eyes.

She growled in the deepest way, I got up off my chair and looked around the doorway and a man was listening to our conversation. HOW DID SHE KNOW? I tell you they are good guard dogs, my Bully was loving to everyone. At the park she would run up to a group of people talking and flick the ball out of her mouth. "Who wants to throw my ball, and play with me?" She was a gem💝.

i like terriers in general. my rat t is a great lil pal.. survived a viper bite and 4 nights in the jungle ,then came home . she can run for miles full bore , sweet heart thru and thru , she rarely leaves my side. unless theres a rat .

they are great dogs, there are bad ones too but just like any breed, you have a breed with explosive tendencies and strength such as the Bullterrier, but once understand and harness it's attributes, a bull terrier is the most focus and trainable dog, but takes a very different approach, which mean requires the companion to do some reading on alternative training.

just over a year ago, what looked like a black lab dog was badly mauled by a Miniature Bull Terrier. The black lab rushed over and attacked it but the the Miniature Bull Terrier very quickly turned the tables on the larger dog and inflicted a lot of serious injury, it had that black lab down in seconds, and after few seconds more his jaws were locked on it's neck The Bull Terriers owner had a hard time getting it to let go he wasn't able to pull it's jaws open. He had to insert of wooden horn like tool into the side of it's mouth to get it to let go.....However, aside from their standard size counterpart, I was quite surprised that even a miniature Bull Terrier can do a lot of damage......I would say they are a power punch in a smaller package......

The bull terrier: a fine dog that walks the line of show/companion dog and working dog. Comes from the original working/purpose bulldog, the American pit bulldog or pit bull, it has traits that do make for a fine worker and athlete, but its direction changed to be more about apperance. After bull baiting was outlawed in England, folks started to move their bulldogs (American pit bulldogs) to ratting and dog-on-dog sporting events. Some time later, they mixed their bulldog blood with terrier blood for different reasons. Some of the bulldog/terrier mixes were a success, while some weren't as swell as others wanted them to be. The Bull terrier went the way of the showring and were bred with other dogs like the Dalmatian and Pointer for coat color and looks. And while the bulldogs (APB) that served as gripping dogs to handle large game on farms, catch large dangerous beasts on the hunt, bait bulls, and is also a very swell warring for dog-on-dog fights, the Bull terrier is still a great dog in its own right and definitely can be trained and used as a warring dog. But many folks will tell you that the bull terrier isn't as swell as true bulldogs like the APB. Like dog professional, breed historian, and author Diane Jessup writes: "The bull terrier, that humorous white dog (though they come other colors) with the slanty eyes and deformed muzzle, is often confusedly called a pit bull, and yet he carries only a portion of pit bull blood. The bull terrier was developed to perfection by a Birmingham man named James Hinks. In the words of his son, James Hinks II, his father '"My father owned dogs from the bravest of the old breeds and had experimented in their breeding. He had also crossed in the white English terrier and the Dalmatian. In this way he produced a pure-white dog, which he named the bull terrier."' The idea, again, was predominantly to develop a "stylish" dog, bred for its good looks. The original bull/terrier cross looked much like a thinly built pit bulldog, as the characteristic down-face wasn't developed until a specific stud dog imparted that characteristic in the breed and it became the fad. Several years after the development of the white show bull terrier, pure pit bulldogs were bred back into some lines, for added mental and physical hardiness. The breeders of the pure white dogs, despite their increasing issues with deafness and other degenerate problems, fought tooth and nail to keep the pit bull-bull terrier crosses from the registry. These crosses were, however, admitted after a struggle."

I'm seriously considering a bull terrier but I am a bit concerned with how aggressive they can get with other dogs if not properly socialized. Did any of you BT owners have an easy/hard time getting your bully to play nicely with other dogs? Are females less likely to have this aggressive disposition to other dogs? Please dont be offended by my questions btw I LOVE Bull Terriers (which is why Im considering one) I just want as much feedback as possible from other owners so I make an informed decision. Thanks!
