I just want to hear res delete + High flow cats…… but stock mufflers. Can’t find that set up anywhere. That’s what I Did on my SQ5 and my C43 AMG…. I’ve been leaving stock mufflers on all my cars and replacing upstream where the power gains actually come from
Hey man, so your RS 5 is fully stock other than this mod? Just wanting to make sure. I want to get a little bit more sound out of mine without getting too crazy and messing around with too much. This seems perfect and reliable.
Hey man! Sorry for late reply. Other than the AWE Intake, my RS5 is complete stock. Replacing JUST the resonators will in no way affect the car or warranty assuming you are in the US. I can’t speak for any countries outside of the IS as they have their own regulations. Replacing the resonators is not altering the emissions systems so you should have zero troubles with that as long as you are in the US. I very much enjoy the extra sound and fanfare with this modification. Cheers!
Sorry for the super late replay. Just now seeing this. It’s the Bull-X resonator delete. www.emdauto.com/products/bull-x-resonator-delete-pipes-for-b9-audi-rs5-2-9t?variant=32437746434136
This was just to hold me over until going with a full exhaust. Ended up going a different route though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7LwzqGIFn2c.html
Thanks! Yep. It already sounds pretty good with the valves open stock (non OPF - US spec). Deleting the 2 forward resonators provides a bit more pops and gurgles. There’s still one resonator that could be removed further.
tengo el mismo vehiculo en españa y estoy a punto de comprarmelo. he leido en varios posts de foros de varios que lo han instalado y mejora un poco el sonido y no tiene drone/zumbido.
I bought a resonator delete kit from ESC, had it installed last week. It now makes a weird noise, like a fluttering noise as if there’s a leak. At idle it makes an odd noise, too. Had it double checked today and they’re saying everything is tight and no leaks. Do you have this issue, too?
@@stealthhtm23 i about had a heart attack thinking i twisted something i shouldnt have or pushed the pipes around to where something was rubbing where it wasnt suppose to be. took them off, reinstalled, moved them around. the car was up and down on the lift like 6 times before someone in a forum was like "oh yeah mine does that too." windows up cant hear it so its a summer noise lol
First question, are you in the United States? I can only speak to US laws. In the US we have the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which essentially requires the manufacturer to prove your modification caused the premature failure. That’s a fairly simplified version of things, but basically, if you did this mod, Audi cannot void your warranty on the suspension or the infotainment or something. Now let’s say my exhaust starts to rust or something (not that this would cause that.) they could deny a warranty claim on prematurely rusting exhaust because I did modify it. When it comes to tuning and electronics, it’s much more gray. If the cat is tuned and you have an engine or transmission failure, you are likely going to be denied warranty coverage. This can vary dealer to dealer.
@goldenlight nothing in particular, just keep up with the factory maintenance. If you don’t use the dealer, get receipts for any work done showing what was done.
@@julien7351 yes quite happy although on my European car, it still sounds a bit muffled. I decided to also add a manual flap switch with a remote. BR Erik
