Pre Meet & Greet group trail run! This will lead us into our Meet & Greet / Campout at Usery Park. Head to the Overland AZ Facebook group to RSVP!
We will go through Bulldog Canyon from Highway 88 and follow the trail through to Usery Pass Rd.
Meetup at the GPS coordinates 33.479071, -111.475899 at 9:30am for airdown. We'll open the gate and start heading through at 10am.

** I WILL be checking permits before we head through the gate. Though I am not responsible for you or your passengers or vehicle, I do want to ensure that we are visiting the area responsibly. If you do not have a permit, you will not be allowed through with the group. Again, the permit is FREE! **
The starting point is the "Cottonwood" gate (event GPS coordinates) on your Bulldog Canyon packet that is emailed to you with the permit. The ending point is the "Usery" gate which is just 1.5 miles away from our groups Meet & Greet location and camp area at Usery Park.
This is a moderate trail. There are some deep ruts, some large boulders and some steep rocky sections. Any high clearance 4wd vehicle should be able to make it through just fine. Lockers are not necessary. This is a great opportunity to learn about you and your vehicles capabilities on the trail with some experienced wheelers if this is new to you. Offroad trailers can make it through as well. The trail is narrow in spots so expect some pinstriping.
I expect the run to take about 3-4 hours from gate to gate with time to air down at the end. I ran the trail myself today while filming and ran 4 hours from pulling into the starting point and airing down to airing up and pulling out of the ending point.
Please pack a lunch to eat on the trail as this will run us through noon.
