It was a small T. Now...put it up against the Red Rump T, or a Rose Hair, and see what happens. Or...my preference...the Cobalt Blue...that would just attack out right. Evil tempered T right there.

SoulKiller7Eternal I wouldn't be so sure. Some king crickets can beat up and evict Sydney funnel webs from their burrows. So if the cricket was a similar size to the tarantula it might stand a chance, but not if it gets bitten. Then it's game over for the cricket

The tarantula was small in size. Insects with venemous fangs usually do not lose, unless their opponent overpowers them with brute force. In this scenario, the smaller tarantula was pinned down by the massive cricket. She couldn't reach up to sink her fangs in, and the cricket obviously doesn't wait and just started chewing on her with its powerful mandibles. I would say it was largely a victory by body size, though speed and agility might've also been an influencing factor since the tarantula was already missing one leg during the deciding battle, which may have made her more clumsy compared to the cricket.

Its tactic turned a ferocious opponent into dinner in seconds. Venom or powerful jaws matter little if your head is bitten off before you can use it

I think you're underestimating this cricket. They are hunters of large spiders. They've even been known to kill big spiders in their webs. This species of cricket kills large, dangerous spiders and some of the most vicious carnivorous insects.

We have to know that "cricket" is a very broad and oftentimes non-specific label. This bulldog cricket vs a normal garden cricket singing songs at night is like comparing a Gorilla to a human. A Gorilla is physically much more powerful than a human, but we're both apes.

Look up lichen bark mantis vs rock spider. Then there is also baby black tail scorpion vs pirate spider. Both of those had the spiders lose to opponents who would normally be their prey as well.

The tarantula is small.. Quite frankly both combatants are not even equal in size.. I've seen tarantulas takeout 5 crickets all at once in their mouths.. I think its not a fair fight..

Lore Nexus They're not in the same ECO environment as the bull cricket but i think a Giant White Knee Tarantula (Acanthoscurria geniculata) baby Juvenile would own 3 or 4 of those full size bull crickets any day, since this species of tarantulas are bottomless pits. Always hungry and ready for combat except in premolt stage..

Monster Bug Wars - Official Channel I would have liked it even without the sound effects. Sometimes i can be misleading. Now every time i see a bulldog raspy cricket, i'll think it growls every time it moves. I collect tarantulas and i know Australian Ts are more vocal but some of the tarantulas in this production is misleading. Now every time i feed a cricket to my T's, i have the sound effects of growling and pig squeals ingrained in my head. >.> The bugs themselves should sell themselves in the production, not the sounds. Thats y i don't watch TV Nat Geo productions anymore. Its just not "natural" anymore. Its just sound effects and "oh this animal is scary and dangerous" information, while in reality, its fascinating in itself.

Ysmir 1987 depends what type of scorpian, can face rape a giant asian mantis, same to a single giant asian hornet and any species of centipede outside of a giant amazonian or giant australian centipede

Wow, this is the first time that the bug which everyone thought would lose, actually won! I had decided that the Cricket was going to turn into 'Brown Smoothie', but the opposite happened. But still, they didn't get the perfect shot of the cricket actually killing the tarantula - I think it was too fast to be filmed. And hence, only the eating shots. Edit: the sound made by the cricket at 05:52 was really funny, it made me smile.

I think the tarantula just ran off camera and got caught without then able to film it with a set camera. They weren't expecting it to leave its burrow but ig it got too scared.

Bulldog raspy cricket and giant centipede are the only 1v1 warriors that I've never seen lose - only time I've seen giant centipede lose was to ants. They just pulled all its legs off then devoured it. Love this show.

Comes to think of it, he does have rosy lips, look very clean shaven, has a long neck that makes his head movements look graceful, thin and long piano fingers, and his voice is sort of dainty and smooth with no bass in it whatsoever. I wish I had some of those qualities!
