That's why Freddie is a flop. Gus has been there for 2 years and has had his hand in 90% of the signings and re-signings. His mate Gus is flopping and signing reserve graders and getting rid of junior talent that are ready to take the next step. Gus is too busy wanting to be the smartest person in the room and getting his team that he signs so the egomaniac can be a "genius" (which he's failed at multiple times now with many teams), rather than just getting the best team on the field. Freddie Flop and a very poor judge of talent. Averillo caught the eye of the best coach ever and I would trust Bennett over Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb (Gus and Freddie) as they haven't had success for many years now, especially with regard to top 30 roster talent. You don't get rid of good young players in their early 20s, who have shown elite skills, to sign mid reserve graders in their mid 20s and expect to get better.

They need to find the dna of their 80s fanbase.

They can finger point the application and attitude of players at training but many players who are cut by the Bulldogs thrive at other clubs. A classic case being Marcelo Montoya and there's many more like him.

The generation of today is the weakest I’ve ever come across and it shows when they are more concerned about the mental wellbeing instead of showing strength, determination and resilience. It feels like the generation of today rather just to give up instead of fighting.
