I agree , but then again roosters are known to have a bad start in every season especially when looking at the last 10 seasons roosters have only won 4 of their first games to start off the season but have bounced back and won 3 premierships so I wouldn’t write them off so easily. Dolphins did surprise a lot of us NRL fans tonight for sure tho 💪

Dolphins almost certainly not spooners anymore. Dragons/Knights/Tigers will be bottom feeders this year imo

Its the fact that the players poached from Penrith are juniors from there own system which isn't the case for Melbourne

Raiders look like they’ve missed their window a couple a years ago.

Raiders are always a surpise team and they're in my top 8 this year. Danny Levi is a good buy for them.

@@Levi_chapman There are Parramatta juniors playing for other teams, let's not pretend that the Panthers are the only club to produce players. Penrith has gotten 2 PREMIERSHIPS from having that talent, so they've got more than their money's worth. As for the goose insult, well don't look in the mirror mate you might ruffle a few of your on feathers.

@@mattcollier7166 Cowboys yes, but storm will be battling injuries all year as well as developing new ones. We've still yet to see Paps or Coates return to form/avoid injury. Harry Grant's gonna have a massive year but.

mate all the ‘experts’ have been talking Souths down for years. They pick Roosters as ‘red hot favourites’ and they fail miserably every year.

Bit early to be confident based on early form what will happen this year. Let's be a little cautious.

@@mattcollier7166 Trindall is not a nothing player. They would have been better with Hynes but only marginally.

@@mattcollier7166 and Souths were without Havili, Sele, Tatola basically no Arrow too. They would of steamrolled the Sharks. Trindall is a great player. In my opinion he did more than what Hynes did against Souths in the finals.

If the game starts to incentivise developing juniors then that will make the game grow. For example a discount on the cap if you have a certain amount of local juniors in your team. As it stands the game is only getting players from a few nurseries. If all of the teams start developing juniors then the game won't die. On its current trajectory it's on deaths door already. Participation in the junior leagues only diminishes per year. Obviously there are more than one reason why this has been happening, the major two are low local engagement by majority of the clubs and parents not wanting their kids ro have traumatic brain injuries.

Not convinced with Manly. Their forwards got bullied a lot last year and as soon as the elite teams nullified Turbo, their attack faltered. They look great to start this year but they will have much tougher tests coming.

@@ryukan250 They were so reliant on Turbo tho, you can already tell they are depending on him a lot less now. Plus they have a crazy strong pack if they are all playing well, imo a backline of Olakuatu, Tualangi and Jake T isn’t missing the 8

@@ryukan250 The pack looks a lot better this year. They got depth there now, swapped it for depth in the spine. Also up until the pride jersey fiasco Manly even without Tom for most of the season was pushing the 8.

Nahh they got up for their first game in the NRL but they're going to struggle really hard when they start copping injuries.

@@6t7ghost Don't get me wrong i'm a Redcliffe boy and played for the dolphins when i was a kid so I'd love to see em kill it, but I just think the 6, 7 and 9 positions will be a real problem if they cop any injuries there. I also suspect they might have just got up for the first game of the season and played out of their skins but will have a hard time backing that up. We will see though, i hope i'm wrong.

Absolutely. He always is, as well. He's been vocal about how much he dislikes qld. It's understandable, playing for nsw and coaching them, but he is a commentator, gotta be real about the game. I actually felt like he had made an effort to not sound biased in this. I was expecting a top 8 with no qld teams lol
