Snapedy snap. I've just left Colin's channel with Tom yet to make his first scoop of dirt. Plus I am also a farmers son. Dad only had 30 acres and got by with two much smaller Massey Ferguson 35s. We had spring tine, and disk harrows, but dad eventually changed to a big old rotavator that caused the tractor's front wheels to lift when they hit a bump with the rotavator raised. GPS was not a thing back then, and we certainly had no self driving equipment so it's interesting to see all of Tom's kit. BTW our farm was a smallholding and we paid rent to Essex County Council. We were situated at the end of Southend airport's main runway, and mum and dad were able to retire in the 70s because they wanted to extend the runway. The image I have linked to shows our barns on the left, and the top of our house peeking over the top of the slate barn roof. I think it was Tradeair who won a contract to do maintenance on Trident jets. When the big jets took off, they used to peel the slates off that barn room and send them spinning through the air like lethal frizz bees. One of my (four) brothers had a close call with one, and it was because of this that they shut down the farms to extend the runway. One last story... The Bristol Freighters were determined to land short enough to take the first taxiway to the terminal, and they were forever breaking the landing lights with their fixed undercarriage. I have a cool story about the Red Arrows if anyone is interested? i.pinimg.com/originals/1a/4f/40/1a4f40649346907c01d65ffa0dd58e7f.jpg

Hey Tom, hello from Sweden. Saw you on furtze and thought it would be fun to learn something new. I love all types of technology and my only gaming experience comes from watching Clarkson one growing up in a rural area. Keep 'em videos coming!
I subbed in, Colin sent me, I do like to watch farming videos. I enjoy the English ones more then the USA ones as I live in the UK and was raised in Cornwall on a farm. now live in SE London. Thanks Tom....

I gotta say, it's quite fascinating hearing a British farmer speak about the "preparations for his cultivation" when I've grown up in the American South where we just "till the sool"
The birds are always fun when working with a tractor. I once had 13-14 storks follow me around while mowing a hayfield. I must have served them up critters on a silver plate for there to be that many :P I think when you're in a tractor they can't tell that you're a human and so they sort of don't see any danger. If I get out to photograph them they fly away immediately!
I have spent many hours in the seat of a tractor. This sure brings back memories although mine had a lot less tech. Thanks for showing us the new tech Tom. Well be sure to check out the rest of the videos that you put up.
My grandparents were farmers when I was young Tom. They would be fascinated by the farm technology that’s available today Tom. This is a fascinating channel - keep up the fantastic work. Also, could we have some “Tom’s eye view” videos of the Furze projects? - thank you Sir !
The graphics in farm simulator have gotten so realistic, this looks amazing. Jokes aside this was pretty cool, here from Colin after watching you digging up is driveway.
