I’ve been to countless punk shows over my lifetime that have been violently chaotic but a ‘96 Rage show in Albuquerque had me battered into oblivion on a different kind of level. I was a physically large college athlete at the time and I still got the f’ng shit kicked out of me.
This is one of those bands that will never be replicated, to this day their sound was way ahead of their time and original. Remember their debut was like 1991 and they were spittin bars on rock guitars, other bands like Korn and Bizkit which are also dope seem to get that credit..but Rage is the original. Of the 90s anyway, this video is dope to. When that dude dropped to his head I admittedly laughed really hard lol. I am so glad the 90s was my prime, every old head says this about their generation but it truly was special. Music was the best and it was like a 10 year party..you could go to a concert like this with 10 bucks to your name to buy the ticket, and have the time of your life. The good shit was going on in the middle of these crowds lol..holy shit I comment too soon..she described it perfect. Chaotic but peaceful lol..that was the 90s.
theres 2 ways to listen to rage , u can concentrate on the guitar playing, which is another level, or you need to pull up the lyrics , which are again next level wrlting and genius delivery...u must listen with lyrics to wake up, bulls on parade, know your enemy, take the power back, down rodeo....sometimes better to get to know the studio version of each track before listening to live performances.... r.g.t.m have something to say, genius lyrics and guitar playing..
Glad people finding Rage, been down with Rage 1994 . Seen them a dozen times best show you will ever see in life , one thing someone falls in mosh pit at rage show we take care of each other pick them up right away. ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Ok - so you know RATM already, so their big hits you will know, but I’d love to see how the other you in the pair of you (o don’t know names so…) would react to things like : Killing in the name of (maybe do a live version so it’s perhaps not a version you know?) Wake up Bulls on parade Take the power back Bomb Track And related not RATM but from the Matrix soundtrack : Spybreak! By propeller heads would make a good reaction :)
