Bullet Train - How John Wick Became a Genre 

Bullet Train is one of the best action movies that I've ever seen. it had so much comedy, but it didn't go too far like Love And Thunder, and it didn't tale itself seriously. just a really enjoyable film with beautifully choreographed fights, and a decent plot that manages to tie all the stories together nicely at the end. I didn't really see much John Wick in it if I'm being honest, but I did get a slight feeling it was inspired by John Wick

This is why gore and well filmed gore is taking off right now on discord, Reddit and other platforms. Art and reality are intertwining. But it isn’t action cinema, it’s real life and people want to feel visceral. Doesn’t matter if it’s fake or real. Covid taught us all that life is precious.

I couldn't agree more. Keanu and Stahelski have really started something. Movies like Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train, Nobody (hopefully more). Wide Angle , complete choreographed action pieces with the lead upfront doing it all. John Wick dare I say is now a Genre.

I think Law Abiding Citizen might be the first in the genre.

How john became wick a genre. What???

i do not see most if any of those films listed as John wick films... how? John wick has to do with gun fu and slick quick action... 1. Atomic blonds action was gritty, slow and brutal 2. Nobody's action was clumsy and messy and not specific, it was fast paced, but that was it 3. Deadpool... i mean common the action in that was filled with slow motion and extremely over the top action with almost no rules 4. Birds of preys action was uplifting, fun and bright except for that one leg breaking scene of course it is basically the complete opposite of John Wick 5 Hardcore Henry might be the most similar action, but it is still different mostly do to the video game feel to it just brushing through hordes of people and so on not like anything you would see in john wick. Over all i do not see how these films would fit into any of this, except for maybe Bullet Train, however i have not seen it yet so i do not know, however interesting video and i see where your going with this AND i am glad you brought up other films that did this before john wick which if i am not incorrect The Raid came out before John wick or at least during a similar time and they had plenty of wide shots that lasted long... also at 7:24 HA! funny, because it is true
