🇯🇵I'm Japanese. Just yesterday, I came across this channel after watching a video explaining the Humvee on a Japanese channel. It's so cool. 🇺🇸👍Until a few years ago, I occasionally saw them in Japan, but perhaps due to the narrow width of parking spaces in Japan, fuel consumption, vehicle inspection fees, etc., I don't see them at all anymore. However, their popularity is strong, and there are many fans, including me.
Nice vehicle, I remember when I was on deployment in Taji, Iraq I was working on installing the up-armor FRAG-5 kits on the M1114 and M1151 HMMWV's. I remember we used a crane truck and special door bracket to install the up-armor doors on the M1114's, the front door was around 433lbs and the rear a little over 450lbs. A lot of sagging after all four doors installed. Changed a lot of fuel injector pumps after that. Hate to bust your bubble, but the HMMWV's have one major flaw in combat! The under belly on these vehicles has zero protection. I had the not so pleasure of looking at IED blown up vehicles with tarps on them after being recovered and dragged back to the FOB from combat convoys. I looked inside of some of these vehicles where there use to be a floor there, get my point without being graphic!
@@HUMMERKINGZ no offense but still i would never get on one, here in mexico in a confrontation against the cartels one of our sandcat armored vehicles was hit by two mines and miraculously the crew survived with minor injuries, yes our vehicles are made for this and even so They were destroyed I can't imagine the Hummer
My unit in Iraq recovered and repaired The FRAG series vehicles as well as MRAPs. Yes, these could be damaged/destroyed, but so could the MRAPs, and the Abrams tanks. No vehicle is completely indestructible. The person/people buying these would buy it because it is sufficient for the threat level. Might not be great for Iraq use right now, but in Haiti, U.S. and other places where it is difficult to buy armor piercing mines it would be sufficient.
Bro, that’s true, I just remember driving those things in hot ass Florida weather on I75 doing 45 and just when I thought it couldn’t get worse the fan would kick in and more hot ass air would blow in through the cabin 😂. Teeth just vibrating like crazy, back hurting, fighting dehydration on my way to blanding, that battle was real 😂
N Perez.they love it cause they can show it off to their Tick Turd Fig Newton Sponge Bob brains friends and say i need this so i can survive Black Fri.
@@HUMMERKINGZ OR HOW PEOPLE USE A KEYBOARD IN THE USA ..Americans : Quiet reserved law abiding non judgemental That do not shape laws around the use of guns Or have the worlds largest amount of law enforcement branches.... Canada : The sarcasm is real......
Очень интересно технологически выполнена техника. Существенная разница между нашей. Советская техника проектировалась и делалась с нуля. Поэтому мы видим в нашеь полную завершённость, без дополнительного обвеса.
nice but i was a 240G turret gunner for years in the marines and we almost always ripped out the powered turret stuff. you can engage muti targets faster without it and be more accurate not having to hit a lever to move, also less stuff to fail
@@HUMMERKINGZ , we have a little bit of both, it seemed like they didn't know which one works better. the ones that have the batteries in it when we remove those we just put more ammo in those spots
Nice HMMWV. What’s the weight with all that on it? I have a couple m1114’s and a 51. They are HEAVY without the up armor. I can’t imagine driving a fully armored one around. It would probably sink in asphalt on a hot day. Lol
Gorgeous vehicle! Awesome engineering and quality control. Even if I won the lottery I still couldn't buy one as a memorabilia piece, because here in canada this unit is classified as a "prohibited" vehicle in the hands of a citizen and for good reason Haha, you definitely wouldn't want this thing in the hand of a person with ill intent.
Imagine running a security company to only protect and deliver VIPs using these, in conflict areas. Places like Jamaica, Haiti, DRZ, Libya, Iraq,Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico, New Orleans, etc… just VIPs with an upgraded security package
Why insult jamaica, jamaica is not in the category of those countries when it come on to violence, not one of our elected officials travel in an armored vehicle,
@@MrMicava dude Jamaica is not? Bro look at the stats! Kingston is a warzone, youths are dying on the streets, Spanish town, come on dawg. Only people who doesn’t know Jamaica would think that Jamaica is safe. Jamaica used to be the murder capital of the Caribbean, up until recently
Does anyone know who to go to or where to get armor like this at? I'm currently rebuilding a slant back. It already has the turret and you can see where it was drilled for the up armor. But I was seriously considering an armor more like this. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
If it was up armored after the fact it will have serious issues with its suspension and drive train. Last batch of Hummwv out of AM General were built from the ground up for heavy armor. The government is still holding on these last produced models.
But the best way to operate that HMMWV is the sequential way, because is a heavy vehicle so need a good operator or else the 4L80E transmission not going to operate the enough time.
This is a nice urban assault vehicle to commute to work in. Where is the 50 cal? How are you supposed to get through rush hour traffic without a 50 cal???
