Bulletproof just shows up, starts talking trash behind everyone's back, calls Cecil racist, then acts like he is forced to be there. Dude has main character syndrome.
That line was really strange to me "sacrifices everything to save white America" huh? He was trying to save America and the rest of the world, would Bulletproof rather Cecil did nothing and let Omni-Man take over Earth? Did I miss some context to that line or something?
So they have the technology to feed the homeless , stop world hunger. But yet he only cares about the outside of America being destroyed. But doesn’t care about the inside . Which many black hero’s no about .
@@inlaidaniki2999 Shapesmith is the reason why Earth was endangered to begin with. Of course he isn't well liked by the team, I'd be shocked otherwise.
Maybe once. But they are growing. Many of them will never reach the same heights as the prior guardians. But they each have shown the will and fire to be better. even the JL and Avengers started off bad at one point.
@@shadowagent7361They did get "smoked" by one Viltrumite. But consider the context. That Viltrumite is one of the greatest warriors of his race. The Guardians trusted him, and he caught them by surprise. Even then, they beat him unconscious and put him in a hospital for days, even with his Viltrumite healing -- the worst beating he'd taken in all his years on Earth.
@@shadowagent7361 To be fair, not only did they still give Omni-Man a smackdown before dying, they could have won if Red Rush hadn't been taken out so early
Gotta love how Bulletproof is projecting HARD here “everyone is screwed up except me”. I really hope they tie this in to his backstory and what he does later; where he’s just this insanely insecure man who feels he isn’t up to the roles he gets thrust into.
He never said "except me," he said everyone is screwed up and we're not a good team. And he's kinda right, the guardians aren't that impressive compared to the last team.
@@radioraheem9820 I’m not saying he literally said it; or that he’s wrong. Honestly bullet proof hit the nail on the head dead center. I’m just saying that his behavior also comes off as that one guy who sees something cringey; then he turns to the one guy he sort of respects going “man, are these guys losers or what? Ha HA HA HAHA GLAD IM NOT A LOSER!!!” The kinda guy who needs to be above it all, Y’know?
Only difference is that none of it bleeds into his work. Sampon’s problems are more a joke, but every other problem presents a legitimate threat to the team
@@Mika-jd3zt lol wtf are you talking about 😂😂 every thing he said was on point except for when he said immortal is so old that he’s farting dust. He is one of the only characters that isn’t slowing the team down and hasn’t done any weird stuff like Rudy
@@lukehall2255 I mean, Bulletproof did kill that sequid in the martian space station, which alerted all of the hive. And I don't know if you've read the comics or not, but assuming the show adapts his backstory, Bulletproof ain't got shXt to say about anyone, especially Robot.
Yea so annoying that they had to force that in. His agency is literally the GLOBAL defense agency and he's always reacting to threats all over the world
@@michaelb5119 The GDA that we see is populated almost exclusively by Americans. Its office is in the Pentagon. I'm guessing it's "global" in the sense that the Coalition forces in Iraq were global.
@kakroom3407 ok but they still protect the world. Cecil has never acted in the way that bulletproof is trying to potray them. Yea obviously it's an American agency and cecil himself is American, but let's stop pretending that line was put in for any reason other than for modern pandering. Literally rolled my eyes when he said it
Cecil gathered a force of heroes to stop a squid army that probably would've enslaved the entire world in the last episode. The Viltrumite army wants the entire planet, not just America. We even see the GDA stop a dragon that was attacking Italy in season 1. The "save white America" comment makes no sense.
How the hell can he have a billion dollar teleporter, kill satellites, and superheroes on call, but Flint Michigan hasn't had drinkable water since the original comic came out. When he save the "Entire World", you gotta put an asterisk next to it?
Exactly, the rest I get but that line comes out of no where. He could have just said something about not trusting the government, but what he said had no reasoning behind it.

Bulletproof has since then, kept up the ruse of being his identical twin brother, until his parents eventually discover the truth and violently believe Bulletproof is the murderer of his own brother. Bulletproof is that guy on the team that says what nobody wants to hear but says anyway, because he's too full of himself to know when to keep his opinions and facts to himself.
From what I've gathered from his backstory he seems to be projecting some stuff towards the end. Not to say all of this is projection he just seems to be realizing this "team" is straight up dog water but towards the end he seems to be very cynical towards the idea of these guys being a family.
@@Grievous_Nix they didn’t make him say that to make him sound like a flawed character, they did it because of wokeness, the kind these screenwriters put into shows these days so blm types find other scumbags to relate to. @@B.I.G.TEA707 yup. Just more woke bs so that the BLM supports have another racist to relate to. The invincible comics were changed quite a bit in the show adaptation, like Rex Splode and amber getting race swapped and the shrinking girl who’s name I’m forgetting was originally a guy.
The fact that just about every super-powered person in this series gets some spotlight and backstory, makes Invincible one of the best superhero shows. Sometimes you think they’re just generic characters for plot driving purposes, but they’re given so much more than that.
Y'all, Bulletproof's opinion on Cecil does not immediately mean it's what the show thinks. Bulletproof is a character, and characters can have opinions that don't line up with yours or all evidence.
