Drs without boarders don't have their own specialist or even normal hospitals. They usually work within the existing health care structures of a given community that they serve As much as it is morally wrong,I hope some specialist hospital takes her for study purpose. So they would treat her as they study her condition for education purpose of others on the causes,prevention and treatment. Dangers of treating,etc

Unfortunately this poor little girl is from one of Africa's most useless countries and has been so for a very long time. This country is called democratic Republic of Congo. Their past president called mobutu sese seko looted the country to the tune of 50 billion dollars from the 60's onwards. He built nothing for that vast country only palatial homes for him and his family, cronies and relatives. He never invested in healthcare or any other thing. The other leaders who came after him were no different. As a result the country is a basket case and going nowhere. In my opinion botswana is the only sane country in all of black Africa. That country is run for the benefit of the people in botswana, it has never had coups, military rule or civil war. It's rulers care deeply for their people. I am from Zambia but have lived in the UK for 30 years and I have only met 2 people from botswana which tells me the country is well governed.

Thats Turner Sindrome i was born whit it. Its 100 Turner but its treatable and not a disablity more like a condition there is big differenc this child is able just as every other her ablities are the same. But she has a health condition which is permanent

You're right. What she has is called Noonan Syndrome, it's not a disability. Some children with it can have blood clotting issues, but it's not super common, as well as some eye issues. About 25% of children with NS do have learning disabilities, but it's clear she does not. NS itself isn't classified as a disability, though it would be if a higher percentage of children with the condition displayed a learning disability. Her parents are concerned about her being able to marry because she's not been able to have the surgery, the thing is is this is genetic, and she has a 50% chance of having a child with the same condition. I wonder if that's been explained to them and if they have concerns about how her husband may react if they have a child with the same condition... I get scared for women the world over, but that doesn't need to be explained to any other woman, ever. Because we all know without having to say it...

It has to affect you in a way that you can't do normal activities on a chronic rather than acute level. Please, look up if Noonan Syndrome is a disability, because I assure you, it is not. Classifications for NS include it being a disorder and a syndrome, but not a disability. People misuse medical terminology all too frequently. She clearly does daily activities just fine, she is even one of the 75% with NS to not experience a learning disability (which is secondary to the syndrome and does not make the syndrome itself a disability). When it comes to the past issue of swelling that kept her from doing certain things, which is not a symptom of her condition, and is more likely linked to environmental or even diet based issues. Like how a person, or in this case, a child can develop edema, or swelling, in the feet and ankles from something so simple as their diet, illness (short or prolonged), high sodium exposure, and water retention, for example.

That’s not going to help. Send money if you really care. That’s a lot more important than giving money to a church.

It's really common in Africa to shave children's heads - even girls' heads. It's done cos it's easier to keep clean and cool that way.
