The more I watch Bulls plays, the more I am convinced that Kukoc is a clutch player. He is just overshadowed by Jordan and Pippen but he is really good.
It's simple Jordan = GOAT. Jordan / Pippen = best duo in history. Jordan / Pippen / Rodman = best big three in history. Accompany Harper and Longley and of course Phil Jackson and a fairly solid bench so obviously this team is the most amazing we've seen. Season 1996. Jordan = MVP final, MVP season, MVP all star Game, best scorer and first 5 defensive. Rodman= best Rebounder and first 5 defensive. Pippen= first defensive 5 also and holder at the All Star Game. Phil Jackson= Coach of the Year and Toni Kukoc= best sixth man of the season. In short, absolutely incredible.
Best team Best Player Ever Best duo Best trio (Superman, Batman, Rodman) Best 3 point shooter (Steve Kerr) Best Rebounder (Rodman) Best 6 man ( Kukoc) Best Role Players Unselfish Team Best defensive team ever And the list goes and goes...
@Objective Perspective Look idiot, that era's 3pt line was only shortened for 3 seasons. Not the entire decade! And there was INDEED double/triple teaming that took place in that era! I'm sick of you dumb ass kids who come on here trying to talk about past eras that you didn't see (or experience in real time), with these ignorant ass talkin points, that have NO BASIS in fact whatsoever...SMH
1995-96 Chicago Bulls Team had: 1.) 72-10 Regular Season, 15-3 Postseason, 87-13 Overall 2.) MVP, FMVP (Michael Jordan) 3.) Three All Defensive First Team (Jordan, Pippen & Rodman) 4.) League leader in points per game & scoring (Jordan) 5.) Lague leader in rebounds per game (Rodman). 6.) Sixth Man of the Year (Kukoc) 7.) Player with one of the highest 3pt shooting % (Kerr, 51.5%) 8.) Coach of the Year (Phil Jackson) No disrespect to people who pick the 73-9 2015-16 Warriors over this team, but come on.
Bulls had such a great players supporting MJ and Scottie back in 90's. John Paxson, Horace Grant, Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong, Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr and of course Dennis. On the defence they would eat current teams alive.
The funny thing is, even the big men on the bulls were fundamental. Pump fakes, spins, getting the defense to lose their footing whilst picking their spots. Meaning their front court is quite competent as their backcourt. This bulls team would absolutely wash any team of today with relative ease in a 7 game series.
This team played the right way. No "hero" ball, unless required by MJ. Unselfish play and great ball movement in the half court. Another great trip down memory lane. Thanks.
@@wallieshere you could see from the last dance that jordan demanded the best from his teammates, he is in such a position to do so, the guy is the alpha male of the entire league
@@wallieshere It has been said that the practices were more intense (like playoffs like intensity) than the actual games. That is why you see them confident and always focused on the court, and they celebrate each other after a great play. MJ demanded that they win in practice, not just in the actual games. MJ demanded that they do what he can and will do. That is true greatness.
This is the OLD SCHOOL, Jordan, Pippen, Harper, Kukoc, Langley, Rodman, Kerr, and Phil Jackson who made this team...Thank you for the amaizing basketball which I was watch...
You just sit back and remember. I have watched Jordan since he came into the NBA and to see him in these clips brings back memories, a time that I thought was long gone. Thanks For The Memories!
My favorite line-up on the bulls: MJ, Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Kukoc, Longley. I was so blessed to have grown up in the 90s watching these Bulls play. I couldn't wait. They were a great time, but once The Worm came aboard, they were lethal!
This makes me want to have all Chicago Bulls games on DVD. After days of watching clips like this from the 90's, I went and saw clips of todays NBA... fucking couldn't stand it.
Thankful some one made a video to show all the other players in this great squad apart from the fantastic trio. The entire team of Bulls needs the recognition for the achievements in basketball at that time...
The Perfect Team : Scorer : Michael Jordan Assister : Scottie Pippen Rebounder : Dennis Rodman 3 Point Shooter : Steve Kerr 6th Man : Tony Kukoc One of The Best Coach : Phil Jackson Other Great Players : Ron Harper Luc Longley Etc The Best Team In The 90's CHICAGO BULLS
Alot of these youngsters dont realize that Rodman wasnt a part of the first 3peat...an that there roster changed big time before there second 3peat..Bj Armstong wasnt with them any more, John paxon, Horace Grant, Will perdue, stacey king, greg Hodges, Cliff Livingston, Bill cartwright, just to name a few an i find it quiet funny when they took on not only Dennis Rodman from the Pistons but James Edwards an John Salley!! Lol guess ya got to learn to forgive sometimes lol it was probly part of Phils therapy to have them on the team or somethin..just breathe an let it go guys..just breathe....haa..hey ya never know!!..
Great movie. As 90s bulls fan Im happy to see some highlights for the first time. Thanks! This was the best team ever assembled. The best duo of all time, the goat, my favourite player is 33, the best rebounder of all time, the best european player of all time, harper great defender, Kerr... i love 91-93 bulls team also but on the second three-peat they were even better.. great times for basketball.
Was 13 in 1996 an the bulls were my idols, watching them play was great. But now Im 36 an looking at the highlights of them in there prime my age an a bit younger, looking at how great they were as a adult now.. no Team will ever match them. I will always admire there skill an determination to be the best that they could be
Not only was it dominating, but they had fun, they were laser-focused on winning, no stare-downs, no over-celebrating, just playing solid basketball night after night. Everybody doing their very best and playing a well-defined role in am so happy I got to s each victory. I am so happy to watch MJ play, didn't miss a game on TV for years. Too bad I never got to see him play in person.
The Chicago Bulls of the 90's were Truely a unique squad! They ran the triangle to perfection. Could get out on the fast break because of having guys that could run like Greyhounds! Crazy Athleticism between MJ, Scottie and Ron and a WILL to play "D" for the full 48! As much as I like watching the Warriors, they in no way compare with the Bulls and their cohesion of unselfishness, determination and excecution. Well oiled and fine tuned! Coach Phil Jackson and his Staff kept them that way. In 2020, everyone will see anything but a bed of roses in their franchise when that 6 part Docudrama comes out. I'm sure then we'll see the many pains and frustrations associated with being a Champion on an Elite Level. Great Video as always!
this brought me to tears. sometimes i cant watch these mj, bulls montages, seeing how far the nba has devolved its like seeing someone you love more than anything in the world dying of cancer and theirs nothing you can do. i cannot express my graditude to you wistiti93420 may god keep you and the wind always at youre back.
Better check out the Nique and Shawn Kemp. Pippen had his moments but man, when those two attack the basket, they dunk the ball so hard its like the rim needs a restraining order against them.
@@kidpeligro7878 - it's more the pissed off look on Scottie's face which always amused me. Even when there is no opponent in his way, he still has that snarl on his face!
I feel like this 1996 team should get inducted into the HOF as a unit, the way the Dream Team did. To be a basketball fan during this era, especially being from/in Chicago, was a great time to be alive!
Oh the nostalgia. Those were the good times. The 90s when things were just awesome. The economy was in a surplus. The music was awesome. And then there was MJ, capturing everyone's heart. After watching him play. You would think that anything is possible... lol. The greatest player to lace em up. Michael Jeffery Jordan. Man I miss those days.
Greatest team ever hands down,,,,this is the super team,,,,GO BULLS,,,the best player in the world the goat 🐐 23,,untouchable,,the best all around player Scottie Pippen,,33 ,,,the best rebounder,, Dennis Rodman,, 91,,and the rest of the team they were untouchable,,,🏀
Ron Harper forever underrated. Teams would get worked by the Bulls' 2nd and 3rd units all the time and the hope and blood would just drain from their faces. Beaten in every aspect. What can you say when you're getting outworked by Bill Wennington FFS?
If watch todays game is still to me the best sport in the world but with these threes quite boring to the 90s. Its sad but i dont think there will be this kinda team again..
Jordan could’ve played on any of the top 8 teams, and that team could have won. There were a lot of great teams back then, competition was tougher. Had he teamed up with Shawn Kemp, Sonics would have won. Had he teamed up with Ewing, Knicks would have won and so on. A lot of great teams back then, but Jordan was just the difference.
While I agree the league had more balance... If the team had to play as it was by today's rules and game style it would struggle. Jordan would still be king, but the way this team is built it would require a new supporting cast. For example longley would be involved in pick and rolls every play. Now also the money would make it easy to build around Jordan and pippen... but comparing eras is impossible
iamtman1, buddy, did Pippen win the championship after Jordan left? No, the bulls didn’t even make the eastern conference finals after Jordan’s first retirement. Jordan could have done it with Hakeem, obviously, and built a better dynasty if the Rockets didn’t mess up on the trade. The Rockets could have had Drexler, Olajuwon and Jordan if they hadn’t made a wrong move. I think Jordan could have won championships in the late 80s with the Rockets. He could have won it with the Jazz as Malone was a great second player, or Barkley, another great player.
@@iamtman1 you can't say wrong. While you're technically right... he didn't win without pippen... there were so many good players he could have teamed up with... and they probably would have won titles.
Ron Harper 6'6" = Defensive Specialist Michael Jordan 6'6" = Offensive & Defensive Juggernaut (GOAT) Scottie Pippen 6'7" = All Around Star & Versatile Defender Dennis Rodman 6'7" = Rebounding & Defensive Specialist (Glue Guy) Luc Longley 7'1" = Defensive Presence and Role Player Bench: Toni Kukoc 6'10" = Floor Spacer Versatile Offensive Player Steve Kerr 6'2" = Catch n Shoot Specialist Bill Wennington 6'11" = Do it All Big Man and Hustle (Glue Guy)
The more I watch these old plays the more I miss this era and the Bulls in their 90s like up... What a pitty that Full HD has been invented years later and a lot of their Prime is just in low quality resolution ...
I was so fortunate to see MJ, PIP in person back in the early nineties in a preseason game even better we had seats close to the sidelines, today I can imagine how much those same seats tickets would cost. Magic and the DOC said it best on how the bulls dominated the 90's showed them how team ball was played and everyone knew their roles and all had the same goals in mind the LB trophy. Today basketball of the 21st century and beyond isn't on the caliber of what we had back in the 90's, I feel bad for you youngsta's who never got to experience this all you got today is players shooting from half court covered in tattoos, ect... I can care less about lebron james he will never top Jordan, outside of the rings how many times has he won a gold medal ? Jordan has 2, plus he (lebron james) doesn't play defense.
Can you imagine. It is a gift of GOD. This was their collective destinations from the day each were thrust into an uncertain world. Synchronicity? Fine tuned machine? Absolutely. Unselfish? Self Sacrificing? All you have to do is watch. This is PERFECTION, POETRY IN MOTION. NOW WE KNOW WHAT OUR WONDERFUL GOD DID ON THE 7th DAY. HE MADE THIS TEAM.
The league was more aggressive back then, which made Pip's dunk on Ewing, you know the one I'm taking about, so, so satisfying to watch as a kid. I was jacked for days after that dunk!
Poetry in motion!! There definitely was some traveling on a few plays but, the refs didn’t call it!! Chicago Bulls basketball from 1996-1998 will never be duplicated!! GSW are really good, but position to position they could not beat those Chicago Bulls!! MJ, SP & DR would be too much for them!! Just my opinion...
