It still is puzzling how Pippen always had nothing but praise for MJ. Pippen had MJ present for him at the HOF...like was all that praise fake? Or did he just turn on MJ because of the Last Dance, him selling his book, and his family drama...? Weird dynamics going on with Pippen
i thin he went a bit crazy after that 403 left him for the offspring of someone he was jealous of. in the words of the wise Future '‘its a evil world we live in''
Seriously I still remember that ESPN show with Rachel Nichols when Pippen laid out his argument for why MJ was better than LeBron, and T Mac was gleefully sipping his cup of tea in full agreement. Recent events have made Pippen bitter and depressed. His son died, his wife left him for MJ's son, the Last Dance brought up his less shining moments. Pippen feels very vulnerable and he sees MJ as the bad guy (albeit wrongfully) and is lashing out.

Michael Jordan won ZERO LeBron james has won 10 conference championships Michael Jordan won 6......Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones have more conference championships (In a mostly nine team league) than LeBron James In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were 83-84 bulls 27-55 84-85 bulls. 38-44 92-93 bulls 57-25 93-94 bulls 55-27 98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen 00-01 wizards 19-63 01-02 wizards. 37-45 02-03 wizards 37-45 03-04 wizards 25-57 02-03 cavaliers 17-65 03-04 cavaliers 35-47 09-10 cavaliers 61-21 10-11 cavaliers 19-63 09-10 heat. 47-35 10-11 heat 58-24 14-15 heat 37-45 2013-14 cavaliers 33-49 2014-15 cavaliers 53-29 2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32 2018-19 cavaliers 19-63 2017-18 lakers. 35-47 2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day. As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank. Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck. THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!! I have added a Postscript So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Perfect example is the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school
Wilkins gave us a calm, very truthful and common sense perspective. He sounded like a basketball professional and his comments were nothing but truth based on sound facts and unbiased opinions
The thing about Scottie is that he can talk like that now because we are not in the moment of the 90’s anymore. Anyone who’s lived it like Dominique firsthand will know how much bullshit he’s been saying. Scottie is also doing a disservice to the game because he’s just giving more fuel to the dumb ways some people talk about bball now like that Scottie and MJ graphic. I think that’s why it’s so important for the league to try and give ways to educate us younger fans but they don’t, even with the endless library of games they must have. So the documentaries (specifically older ones, for older players/eras) that they made in the moment about those teams, eras, and championship years are about as good as it gets imo.
The New Generation don't GAF about history or how these legends carried themselves. Respect is a thing of the past... Dominique has 1 reason to be SALTY and he's not..he and MJ Respected each other on and off the court BUT when it was Go time there were no friendships to be had and when it was done it was All Good Today..these new ballers all wanna be friends and make moves..yes I get it big money to be had BUT now their lazy with it.. load management slack defense. Competition went out in the early 2000 I think the 90s was the last of the old guard.. Today Respectfully I don't regard this game the same it's WATERED DOWN
Kids today have adhd. Why do you think the league was made easier to score in with the zero step rule and carrying not being called? It's so the scores can be sky high. Casual fans like scoring. They don't care about defense, only offense. That's why the US sucks on the world stage, our players are getting worse while world players are getting better because they stick to the fundamentals.
For Pippen… there was no way to swap out MJ and get the same results. If you swap out Pippen… there are loads of alternatives that MJ could play with to get those rings.
For Pippen to state that, Jordan had no rings before he arrived, it's interesting to consider that, when MJ left, the Bulls didn't win in 1993-94 nor 1994-95. Pippen should have carried the Bulls to another two championships, should he have not?
Dominic Wilkins is just a real guy and he respects the era before him and the era that he played in, along with the players he played against. And does this without disrespecting the new era of basketball
That’s so true. Pippen without MJ nobody would talk about him. Jordan maybe wouldn’t gotten that many rings but one thing for sure he wouldn’t retire without one at least. Pippen owed MJ his status in the nba today
Pippen was a absolute monster on the court and undoubtedly would’ve had better numbers and got more praise outside of Jordan’s control and shadow. We would still be talking about him today just differently.
The only argument I need for this Pippen stupidity: "If Scottie Pippen was the reason MJ won 6 rings, then why didn't he win even one ring when he went to Portland and Houston??"
Exactly. If situation was that it was Pippen who retired in 93 instead of Jordan, Jordan would've gotten them to at least the finals, and once in the finals, I'm not betting against him.
@@Lee5Carter Can't prove that. Jordan didn't won shit without Pippen. Pippen IS the reason MJ won 6, nothing wrong about that. And Mj was the reason Pippen won 6.

Everyone knew scottie was nice back in the day. Everyone back in the 90s always had nothing but good things to say. But we all know damn well, no player, gm, owner or fan would ever select scottie over mike, thats just crazy talk. Its a cheap way to diminish mike, like "oh he wasnt the best guy on his team." I literally watch old games, and there are a bunch of times pippen folds in clutch situations and mikes gotta bail him out, not the other way around.
Scottie is angry because he feels like he’s in Jordan’s shadow and hasn’t ever been given his due and recognized for his talent; he’s always just been “Jordan’s sidekick”. And I think it’s true to some degree, I think Pippen is under appreciated. His role as an emotional leader to pick people up when Jordan kicked them down, is bigger than people know. But regardless, he’s not Larry Bird, and he’s not Jordan. He’s good, but he’s not in that GOAT debate. He needs to accept his lot, grow up emotionally, and stop attacking his best Teammate ever, because it’s making him look foolish.
It’s not accurate to say Scottie is mad at Jordan because the situation with his ex wife. Scottie had already started acting a fool before any of that even happened. Scottie is mad because of the way the last dance documentary portrayed him.
@@Adaptation49.42💯 Bron fans love Pippen MORE than they love the players that ACTUALLY played with James & helped him win those 4 chips in 20 seasons. 😂 There are copious amounts of videos of Scottie calling MJ the GOAT for 20 odd years until the Last 💃🏼 Dance, then everything changed. Pippen just mad cause that documentary showed how he could be a selfish, childish teammate, or are y’all forgetting he also had the audacity to call Phil Jackson a racist too? Pip only has himself to blame for how he came across in that doc & the only people who can’t see that are the folk that hate Michael Jordan. I’d even say Rodman was more important to that Bulls 2nd 3-peat than Pippen, hell at that stage, Pip was more like Alfred than Robin. Scottie Trippin, all in his feelings, while MJ smoking TWO Cubans with 3BILLION in the bank.😊
Scottie has a lot of anger at this point and he's just lashing out. Through all the financial troubles he's been through, and now with the whole ex thing, I'm pretty sure 99% of us will just simply crumble. Imagine having the world and blunddering it, and having your wife leave for someone you literally watch grow up, I understand Pippen's frustration and anger. As far as what Pippen is saying about Jordan being a bad Teammate and a bad leader, I would agree with him in someways as well. With the story of how Jordan simply destroyed people careers like Kwame or that Bulls kid, and the stories like Jordan punching Kerr, he doesn't sound like a good teammate by any means. With that said, if anyone is arguing Pippen is a better "player" than Jordan or could accomplish more on his own, they would be delusional. Pippen in 93 couldn't get to the conference finals with relatively the same squad that won the finals. Then Pippen on the Rockets and Blazers simply flamed out as well. Not to mention the amount of negativity that came with his stint on the Rockets (feud with Chuck), and the Blazers (bad locker room presence). Feel sorry for the man, and hopefully he gets some help before he goes down the dark path some more.
John Salley's basketball takes are as subjective as they come. He's a Bad Boy Piston to his core and that will always influence what he says about MJ. He played a total of 17 regular season games for the Chicago Bulls and a total 85 minutes in the postseason for them. Not enough to soften a guy's heart, like for Rodman who battled for 3 full seasons alongside Jordan. Further proof of that: John Salley also played in every playoff series for the 2000 Lakers team. That means he played with all-time greats Shaq and Kobe. John could have said Kobe was the most skilled player he's ever played with. But that wouldn't work as well because Kobe was a Jordan copycat. He realized he could try to diminish Jordan more by picking Jordan's best teammate to use instead. See how John's mind works?
It's unfortunate that Pippen is doing this for whatever reason because all I remember from that time is how incredible BOTH of them were. I hope they can recover their friendship someday.

Scottie pippen jealous look at Michaels net worth close to 2 billion and the world still talkin about Michael and not Scottie pippen jealousy pure jealousy
Everyone points to the 55-win season without Jordan. I think it had a lot to do with Horace Grant as much as Scottie. Horace often doesn't get the credit for his defense and rebounding. Because once Horace left, Scottie led the Bulls to a 34-31 record before Jordan unretired. And it was Horace that killed the Bulls in the 95 playoffs. And then the Bulls swept the Magic next year, and big surprise, Horace was injured most of that series. Andalso the 93-94 team that had both Toni and Grant on the same team something Jordan never head.
I think when sally was saying most skilled he meant skilled at each position on offense and defense. He even said at each position. That combination of positions equaling most skilled. No way was he saying overall talent on the court but accumulated skill by position.
Literally all they have to do is go watch the games... the film doesn't lie. Aint no way I'd have bron on my starting 5 tho, he's nothin but a liability on both ends anymore
can you make a vid about how clutch jordan and larry bird are and how far is the gap between other players in clutchness not just game winners and buzzer beaters but the last 5 minutes in a close game. i think thats what separates jordans wins vs strong teams vs lebrons loses cause he came up short in the last few minutes to seal the win
As a "small forward", Pippen SHOULD average more "all around stats" than a "shooting guard". Just like LeBron had better stats than Devin Booker... But to argue barely 200 more rebounds, q26 more steals and 20 more blocks over 1500 fewer points is SADNESS!!
@@theetruth8626 Lebron has played with nearly 50 all stars in his career! None were Jordan sure. But he’s more then adequate help since first leaving the cavs in 2010!
Good vid. I always thought Pippen was over-rated, especially offensively. Defensively, Pipp was one of best all-time...but who drove him to be that good? MJ, "the" best defensive guard of all time, who was BRUTAL to Pippen during practice in his first few seasons, and drove him to become the player that he became. Basically, Pippen was a beast in the open court, and was very good taking the ball to the hoop, and then later in career, developed a solid (not great) mid-range game. Most of his points came off teams doubling MJ (or at least leaning towards him). Most teams basically allowed Pippen to score/shoot as much as he wanted. But Pippen fans, remember this: at his peak (1993-94), without Jordan, Pippen was a very good all-around player. He averaged 22/8.7/5.7. Very good numbers. BUT NOT ELITE! He NEVER was an elite scorer. 22ppg was by far his best year. After he left the Bulls, Pippen was average offensively (14ppg,12,11,10.5 next 4 seasons, and his defense wasn't on par either).

Sally his own definition of skills. Generally an NBA fan would talk skill and look at Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, and of course Michael Jordan. Does Pip have better handles? No Does Pip have a better mid-range game? No Does Pip have a better footwork? No Does Pip have a better back-to-basket game? No Does Pip have a more complete layup package? No Does Pip have a better jumpshot? No Is Pip a better passer? Arguably but I've seen Jordan play point-guard and can also do sick passes. Is Pip a better dunker? No Is Pip a better shot-blocker? No, I mean peak Jordan averaged more blocks than Joel Embiid despite being 6'6, Pip would never touch that. Plus Jordan can swat the ball using both hands which is extremely difficult. I mean Pip can defend more dudes because he has a bigger windspan, he has more physical tools than Jordan. Jordan with Pippen's height and length - I mean, game over - Jordan would have been a much bigger problem and this nonsense GOAT debate would have been more nonsense.

The sad part is Pippin doesn't win shit without Michael Jordan. If Pippen doesn't come along Michael Jordan wins multiple championships with a host of other players, that's the part that people don't get and can't fathom Michael was going to have a winning team he was going to make his team win and he would have done that with or without Pippin.
Michael Jordan took a bunch of Crackheads to the Playoffs in 1986 coming back from a knee injury. People try to discredit MJ for getting stopped in the playoffs by The Celtics and The Pistons; The 86 Celtics were arguably the best team in the 80s and the Badboy Pistons were the dirtiest team of all Time.
Don't be confused about the skilled comment. Pippen being more skilled is irrelevant. He had those skills. He did not have the same obsessive determination. He did not have the same competitive spirit. He did not have the same discipline or work ethic. And he simply did not out perform MJ. Mike Vick and RG3 are 3 of the most skilled QBs of all time. More skilled than both Manning's, Brady, Rodgers, Marino, Montana etc. If you took every QB from history and put each of them at every position for 1 full game Vick, RG3, Tebow, Cam Newton and a few other ringless QBs who will not make the Hall of Fame would all do better than most HoF QBs at RB, WR, TE, LB, CB, S, KR, PR, DE and maybe even K/P. Does the fact that they were more athletically skilled matter at all? No. Because they didn't do what the HoF QBs did at the QB position. Their athleticism didn't translate into more wins or better career stats.
@AutistikManiac This is the argument Sally made. Scottie could play more positions. RG3 would be a better WR, RB, KR, PR, S and CB than any Manning because he had more general skills. He just wasn't a better QB.
If we're talking about skill! We have to add IQ in terms of facilitating the play. With that Criteria: Magic, Bird, Zeke, Stockton, JKidd Jokic....G.Hill, Penny and TMac their value is incalculable!
