Marnus Labuschagne led the way with 160 not out as Queensland built a 143-run lead on day two of the Marsh Sheffield Shield final at Allan Border Field in Brisbane
Don't know why couldn't CA did not broadcast all the games in Fox, brilliant commentary, scorecard and everything feels like an international match. Labuschagne too good for any team, Labuschagne, Smith, Green deadliest combo, currently.
@@bouheyrbaluch7909 Obviously, because the other ones werent televised, and most watched at the ground. Here both are equal, and its been broadcasted by Fox Cricket, so everything better. Thats why I wrote that hope CA broadcasts all of them, in Fox Cricket not only the Shield final.
@Hmm Hmmm actually he can only blame himself, he suddenly pulled out of cricket due to certain issues and after that he is never able to leave his mark in domestic cricket.
This is something called fabulous domestic cricket. Country's 3 front line bowlers playing the game for thier States. In Ranji's final and knock outs you won't see the national stars running in.. Despite the trail, NSW is the most consistent domestic team in past 2 decades. Much better than Surrey and Essex if you compare globally. May be Recent times of Karnataka's batting can match NSW's bowling standards.
I went out the match Thursday. So nice to see that quality play and players up close in a picnic chair on the grass in the shade of a tree. Allan Border Field is about the same distance as the Gabba from my home. So much nicer than the Gabba stadium (which is only nice at night in Brisbane summer). A real cricket ground for Queensland's/ Brisbane's real cricket fans.
Good comment and heartily agree. It is a huge plus that these and the Women's games are being played away from the classic big venues. Great second tier venues which will hopefully continue to improve. Have not been at AB Field but we have seen three very good fields used in Sydney. North Sydney is brilliant for purpose as are Bankstown and Drummoyne
@@flamingfrancis yeah. Heard stories from my father about full houses in Ranji trophy games here in India as well. With the international calendar not as packed back then, more test players were available for those games. Even in 2005, i remember going to one Ranji game as a 6 year old and there was a fair crowd at the eden gardens( Ganguly was playing). But atleast there seems to be some interest in first class cricket in Australia with high quality coverage and everything. Here in India, not only are the stands empty, even the home viewership is dismal. As a leader in world cricket, we just dont respect first class cricket enough.
@@AAAAAA-gj2di If you look into shield cricket, Australia have much better reserve bowlers than starc in particular. Jhye, behrendorff, Paris, Pattinson, Neser are all ahead of him in terms skill and wicket taking abilities in test.
@@jubairomar2676 I feel it again comes down to captaincy, it's the captain who should have guts to leave out a particular player. Tim Paine certainly can't do that because if somebody has to be dropped then it's him, I feel once pat Cummins becomes captain, you will see the difference, because as far as I have heard, he has good cricketing brain and also a person full of confidence.
Very good point..... You made me think about this and I think you're right. This is the 3rd time last season that Labu had given the NSW bowlers stick, despite at least some of their test bowling line up playing. Although Labu did well in the Indian series (top scoring batter from either side) he definitely found the Indian bowlers more of a challenge than the NSW/test bowlers here, esp Lyons. He even reverse sweeps Lyons to reach his ton, almost treating him with contempt. Further more the Indian bowlers of course were bowling on foreign soil, as opposed to the NSW bowlers. So what does this say about our supposedly world class bowling attack ?
I really HOPE QLD win because they are played againest ""AUSTRALIA"" as in Starc, Hazlewood and Lyons.. So go BULLS all the way and lets kick some BUTT.. 😀
Good to see Sheffield Shield with some of our best playing. Never usually happens. Well, our Australian players, not necessarily our best but you get the picture. Did a few of these guys turn down IPL for some more practice and home time?
@@saranshagrawal3032 you dont think it'll happen? England's performance in Australia in the last 30 years suggest either another whitewash, or a 4-0 win to Australia.
Yes, They can Start this 11 in test side and they will unbeatable in subcontinent also. David Warner Henry Hunt Steve Smith Usman Khawaja Cameron Green Travis Head/Matthew Renshaw Alex Carey/Josh Inglis Pat Cummins (C) Mitchell Starc/Jhye Richardson Nathan Lyon Josh Hazelwood
@@samranzafar1198 yeah, but that’s where the difference is. At least he took wickets in shield. But Starc figured were terrible in the intl summer, and even worse in Shield.
