I really like his initial movement tbh. The left foot is pointing towards the bowler just like kallis back in the day. My coach taught me the same and it works very well especially for the ball that nips back in . The straight drive and on drive come on nicely

I like his batting also but he has yet to make runs outside Australia except England.

Sheffield Shield has been played at smaller ovals for many decades.

Yeah back in the day it was played at large grounds like the MCG or the Gabba Now it is played at the smaller grounds like north Sydney oval

This was an especially long cricket summer. The Shield final is almost never played in mid-late April. During this time AFL season has started at all capital city ovals. We are, however, lucky, to still have quality back-up ovals that are available for cricket at this time. AB Field is not a park nor club oval, it's a specialist cricket field, dubbed the home of Queensland cricket.

he scored 5 consecutive half centuries in the ashes in england and played important part in retaining it, other than that he has'nt played anywhere else, so you can't use this term for someone who has'nt played anywhere else. we use the term home track boy when the players fails outside his country and succeeds in his own but in marnus' case he has'nt toured many countries yet.

Guys i am just saying he is not the 1 who should be giving tips on technique, You dont want young kids who are watching the interview to pick up his batting antics. You have good proper technically sound batsmen playing Shield cricket, why dont fox let them give tips rather than asking this guy. PS: I have not seen MS or Pant give batting tips no matter how much they have scored in the game, even if they did I would have said the same thing.

He is actually ranked three in the ICC test rankings 5. His technique is classical, including perfect on drives 6. In this particular match, he is the BEST person for Fox to talk to 7. It's illogical to bring someone like Will Pucovski for example, up to Brisbane and talk technique. 8. If you actually listened carefully, Marnus talks about the assorted techniques he applies to counter the threat of Starc, Hazlewood, Copeland and Lyon. This is the point. It's not about how to play the square drive from the manual. Be that as it may the guy is technically sound. Your argument is invalid. Just be thankful that your team won the test series.
